Thank you for your reports. We released client and service updates this week, that address many MacOS-specific performance issues. We are also aware of recent performance issues with Microsoft Teams meetings, especially on laptops and when using external monitors.

The team is working to resolve these issues. In the meantime, please find troubleshooting information here: https://docs.microsoft.com/microsoftteams/troubleshoot/known-issues/teams-slow-video-meetings-laptops-4k.

Wanted to add my voice here. Please prioritize fixing the CPU hog issue. I'm using Mac OS Mojave.

Current versions of Teams are not integrated with Mac OS's Dictionary and real-time autocorrect, and spelling cannot be checked by pressing Command+Shift+:. Please implement this so we won't have to manually fix every misspelling either by retyping the word or right-clicking the word and selecting the correct spelling from the menu, which is an action that is almost as time-consuming as retyping the word.

This is urgently needed. I have been in several video conferences recently where I needed to see the facial expressions of the other attendee and the toolbar placed itself directly over the other face.
