Great performance and user experience remain a topmost priority for us. Application launch time has seen improvements in the recent build. We will continue making improvements across the product including channel to chat switching and overall resource consumption.

Please vote if you liked this post, and leave as many comments here. I had not even got many votes (just 2, I got) for my earlier post, and I don't think people would see THIS idea.

Also, if you're using a Windows PC, and want to speed up your PC to use MS Teams, I can help.

1st step : Click the windows logo key and R to open run.
2nd step: Type '%temp%' (without apostrophe) there. Then, click 'enter'.
3rd step : Select all the files by clicking Ctrl + A and delete them by Ctrl + D. After it deletes, close
    the folder.
4th step : Repeat the 1st step and type there 'temp' (without apostrophe) and click 'enter'.
5th step : Repeat the 3rd step. In some computers, 1 or 2 files may not delete. So, when the other
files go to Recycle Bin, click 'Skip' for the files which cant delete. Then quit.
6th step : Repeat the 1st step again, type there 'prefetch' (without apostrophe), and click enter.
7th step : Repeat the 3rd step again. There, a file starting with 'PfPre_' won't delete. So, after the
other files go to Recycle Bin, click 'Skip', and quit.
8th step : Again, repeat the 1st step, type there 'recent' (without apostrophe), and click 'enter'.
9th step : Repeat the 3rd step for the last time. There, NO FILES will be left over in the folder.
    Now, quit the folder.
Last step: Head over to Recycle Bin and right-click on it. Click 'Empty Recycle Bin' and a dialogue
box will appear to confirm if you want to delete them all or not. Click yes. After the
operation completes, refresh the computer 15 times.
That's all! You can do the procedure whenever you notice that your computer is slowing down.

(Please note: While permanently deleting those files, some dialogue boxes will appear saying
that this file is no longer left in the Recycle Bin. So click skip in that case. And another will appear saying you have to get permission to delete this file. Click Continue in that case.)

What you say is absolutely right, but it also depends on how much heavy files you're storing in your computer and phone. This thing is almost more than 90 MB (which is pretty much less space for high-end phones and computers). In some computers (with 2 GB or 4 GB RAM), it CRASHES. That's a headache for many who want to attend a meeting just before it started.

    Hello!
There's an other way to do that. While in a meeting, go to the participants part, right-click on 1 person's profile, and click 'Make an attendee'. Repeat the steps for all the participants. When they are an attendee, they can't mute anyone or remove anyone. I encountered the same problem.

I do so when it crashes. But it's pretty useless.

I've uninstalled and reinstalled the app many times, but all it does is give me the latest update, not speed up.

I also have 1 doubt: Will Microsoft change the icon of Microsoft Teams in the future updates?

Don't you know that it's unsafe to do that? I had read in some website of an antivirus software (I think Norton's website) about this:
Your PC gets attacked by a virus that can't be removed, and you have a weak antivirus. You want to enter your e-mail. You type your e-mail ID and password, and to ensure the password, you click the show password button. You're into trouble. The virus saw your password, and it communicates to its server and shares the information. The next wave of attack comes in and defeats your OS.
It's way too dangerous to do that.

Did you check the microphone(s) of your laptop/desktop? I think you have turned off the mic of your PC by accident. Maybe, turning on the microphone can help.
