User case: we have a recurring weekly meeting. We didn't finish an important discussion and decided to add a follow-up meeting (single/one-off) the next day at the same time. It would be so much easier to be able to copy/paste the usual meeting onto the new day, taking with it the times and full attendee list, than to have to recreate it from scratch on the new day. (Note: go to Outlook isn't a solution; the entire point is to be able to do this within teams,... especially for those of us -Mac users - who don't use Outlook.)

This would seem to be a very basic need for a software designed specifically for collaboration. We have a "to do" list in our shared notes, and we have multiple team members working from that list. Finish item, strike through, y'all.

This is a travesty. Seriously? How can you disallow apostrophes? Were the Teams designers all bearing grudges against their grade school grammar teachers?

I made a team, I scheduled a meeting. Now the team can't even see the meeting, no one got an invitation, and I can't add the whole team to the invitation. I also can't change the channel setting to move the meeting into a channel. This is utterly ridiculous.

So, it looks like this bug is still with us after more than TWO YEARS. I'm going through the chats from a class meeting that just ended so that I can answer any lingering questions, and I'm seeing posts that I already replied to, but my reply has disappeared. I can still see the response to my reply, but not my reply. Somebody call Orkin. This place is crawling with bugs!

Holy cow ... what? We can't do this?
I decided to use teams for a class this year, and now I have to add almost 90 students to the team one ... at ... a ... time?
I am so regretting this decision right now. Okay, and pretty much every day since I made it.

I made the mistake of creating private channels for my class discussion sections, and then discovered that I couldn't schedule the discussion meetings in it. This is just preposterous. And worse, I can't go back and just make the channel public. Now I'm afraid to use the private channel for ANYTHING, because I don't know what other bizarre omissions I'll trip across. What other tools won't work, just because the channel membership is limited?

This is ridiculous. I set up a private channel for each discussion section of my class, and then discovered that I couldn't schedule the meetings. What a bizarre omission! Why on earth would the schedule meeting feature disappear, just because you limit the participants in the channel? That's half the purpose of having a private channel! This software is so not ready for prime time.

This is bizarrely draconian functionality: you must be meticulously careful and certain exactly where you want your meeting housed and connected before you start drafting the meeting, because once you set your meeting times, you will never be able to move it. What ever happened to "pencil it in"? Setting a placeholder meeting before you have the details worked out is so deeply engrained in our cultural habits that we have a linguistic expression for it. I set up a meeting to hold the calendar times open, THEN I figure out who should be invited and where I want to put the notes. Having to plan all the details in reverse is supremely annoying.

The activity log should be its own private tab, not a bunch of clutter all over the user channels. It took me several tries to get my channels named in a way that made them show up in order, so guess what the first thing is that students will see in their course? Yep, a long string of channel creation and renaming events. Then a long chain of user additions, tab creations, and every other action required to build out the site. How are they supposed to even find their lecture meeting buried in all that mess? This is completely unacceptable for a student platform, and has me ready to scrap my Teams plan, go back to Canvas and Zoom, and wait for a few years for y'all to figure this thing out.

Please, please, please add this function! It is "correcting" things to make them incorrect, and I can't manually override them.

In biology, we use "spp." as a standard abbreviation for species (plural). The period is part of the abbreviation, not a sentence ender. MS Teams keeps capitalizing the next word in my sentence, and it should NOT be capitalized. I like spellcheck, but I can't abide having the software take over my writing and wreck things. This is a teaching situation; I can't model incorrect usage, just because the software thinks it knows more than I do about what I'm trying to say. I may have to abandon MS Teams over this, which is a shame. There's so much to like here, but some truly egregious flaws.
