Unfortunately because of changing priorities, this feature was moved to the backlog. The team hopes to pick it up again in the near future.

Removing the Conversation Tab is being reviewed by the feature team.
For deleting chat messages, please following progress here: https://microsoftteams.uservoice.com/forums/555103/suggestions/33535006.
Thanks.

Need delete conversation, delete message including delete from backups and cloud storage for off-topic messages.
I have a junior team member spending hours each week just summarizing the useful information from a team group chat into a FAQ versus this feature being built into Teams.

Explain how we can scan emoji, memes, gifs and reactions for legal discovery purposes.
Can we have a safe set of these configured by the Teams administrator to prevent harassment.

Adding email as a left tab panel remains under review. We are working on adding several Teams and email integrations:
- Share to Teams: Share a copy of an email and any attachments into a chat or channel directly from Outlook
- Share to Outlook: Share a copy of a channel or chat conversation via email directly from Teams
- Actionable Teams Activity Emails: Teams missed activity emails display the latest replies and allow you to reply directly from Outlook

No, Teams already uses 900 MB memory on my 16 GB machine and does not need even more things to waste computer memory.

We are working on a design with more density in mind. Until this design is solidified we are putting this item back to Under Review.

Bad outcome of design for mobile first and then make larger screens have a second class citizen experience.
Separate but equal did not work before and does not work for apps.

Privacy 101 and legally needed for GPDR government regulation
I'd understand if Teams was a basic app with two screens, though exempting Teams from basic functionality that my parent used for their entire 30 plus year working career is shameful.
Shame on the Teams group for not placing a priority on user friendly software.
