For organizations that need call recording for compliance purposes, admins can set via policy. To see how this works for calling and meetings, please see https://docs.microsoft.com/MicrosoftTeams/teams-recording-policy.
1:1 convenience recording is currently on the teams backlog. We will share an updated here as soon as it is available.

Individual users need an opt-out by default settings to not transcribe their spoken words to the meeting recording transcript.

Saving conversation history should be an opt-in feature with the default be opted out.
People will quit using Teams if they know it is tracking them and applying machine learning to profile them for behavior which somehow the company thinks may harm the company.
Like MS Teams accessing the sensors on your phone to monitor what you are doing.
It's one big GPDR problem.

Thank you for your continued feedback. We are currently working on this, and recently announced this feature for developers in Beta. For more information, please visit https://developer.microsoft.com/microsoft-teams/blogs/importing-3rd-party-platform-messages-to-microsoft-teams-is-now-available-in-beta/.

Not needed. If you really want to preserve your past chats, save them and archive them inside a file in Teams.

We’re updating our command library all the time, so keep checking the menu in the command box to see what’s new by typing / or @.

Teams should be user friendly and not require users to remember lots of command line syntax.
If I use a feature once or twice a year, I should be able to find it and not have to read lots of pages of command line help.
I use Word for this reason and not a cryptic programmer's text editor.

Thank you for your feedback. We are actively considering options for this. We will share an update as soon as one is available.

What's needed is a way to send Teams video and audio to another application and let that other application provide this functionality.
Teams should be a conduit and not the end all solution for each function.

Thank you for your continued feedback. The feature team is actively working on this feature as well as doing work to give users the choice to open Word/Excel/PowerPoint files by default in Browser, Office app or inside the Teams app. We will share an update here as soon as one is available.

Open Excel file in the Teams app is too slow. Other products, like browsers, already have this.
Why can't teams just provide standard functionality built-in like other applications?

Thanks for providing the feedback. This feature is in our backlog. We’ll update when we have more details to share.

Teams should not be a shared everything kitchen sink. Shared whiteboard should be in a different product.
Adding in every possible feature will make Teams unmanagable, make teams slow and use lots of memory.
Already, it cut my laptop battery life in half when disconnected from a power source.

We are currently testing this feature internally, and will share an update as soon as it’s available. To learn more, please visit https://docs.microsoft.com/MicrosoftTeams/sharing-files-in-teams.

Not needed. Archived chats should show the full URL. The shortened URL won't be available in a few months after it is posted.

Adding any emoji as a reaction remains under review.
I am marking this as partially done to let you know a new reactions bar with Like, Heart, Laugh, Surprised, Sad, and Angry has begun rolling out to all users.

Not needed. I use a screen reader and emoji require me to re-read and translate the emoji to a "yes" or "no".

Unfortunately because of changing priorities, this feature was moved to the backlog. The team hopes to pick it up again in the near future.

I download multiple files every day. Shifting the work from Teams to me as and end user is unacceptable.
I use Teams on a desktop and not a mobile device stop building a product for the lowest common denominator for each of the platforms - how Apple does not give a file browser in phone.
Lack of respect for the customers again.

Needs a way to filter out this noise and not have these extra interruptions to my work schedule.
Each interruption, say a cute sticker posted by a teammate, breaks my productivity by 20 minutes or more.
This is a serious drain on our organization's productivity.

Great performance and user experience remain a topmost priority for us. Application launch time has seen improvements in the recent build. We will continue making improvements across the product including channel to chat switching and overall resource consumption.

Thank you for your continued feedback. We are in the process of testing the downloading of the attendance report after the meeting has concluded. For status updates, please view the roadmap item here, https://www.microsoft.com/microsoft-365/roadmap?filters=Microsoft%20Teams&searchterms=66459.
Download of the meeting attendance list during a meeting is released for general availability. Please note this feature is turned off by default, and needs to be enabled via admin policy. Does not need meeting entry and exit times for the same reason my Email meeting calendar is not shared with the entire company.

We are working on a design with more density in mind. Until this design is solidified we are putting this item back to Under Review.

There is already a "memory" hog Teams user voice request with thousands of votes.
Suggest: Turn of participant videos in the mean time.

Teams uses an excessive amount of memory.
Search for "memory" in Teams user voice to see the one with thousands of votes and no resolution more than two years after it was created.

Inform your team members to not post meaningful messages in chat.
Teams should allow for permanent delete of chat messages include deleting them from any cloud backups, short term or long term storage.

How does hiding screen content by the control bar even pass usability testing?
Fix this, it impacts our business presentations.
This should allow user to delete the history of calls stored in the cloud or any longer term Teams backups.
Teams should respect the right to be forgotten
