Hi everyone, the engineer working on this item has left the company and we’re working on replacing him. I wanted to give you that heads up because the work has paused, which extends our shipping date.

I really appreciate your patience as we work to get this back to actively worked on.

Disable spell check appears to be an option in the General Settings of teams now. If you scroll all the way to the bottom of General you will see a pre-checked box for "Enable spell check." It let me un-check. After a restart I am able to type without red squiggles on the words I'd usually see them (i.e. I've, you've, etc...)

Microsoft, do you still monitor the forums? If not, at least point us to the new location to get these ridiculous defects corrected.

This is still an issue - and I'm not very clear on how or why Microsoft keeps linking back to the "Proofing Tools" feed from 2018. That looks to be the original ask. We asked, you delivered, it didn't work correctly. Can we fix this now? It's exceedingly annoying.
