The engineering team is continuing to work on adding support for multiple accounts on desktop clients. We will first launch support for 1 work/school account and 1 personal account so users can enjoy Teams for work and personal side-by-side. Windows and MacOS. Support for multiple work accounts is still being worked on and will come at a later date.

You can track status via the roadmap here: https://www.microsoft.com/microsoft-365/roadmap?searchterms=68845.

    Thanks!

I am a little bit worried about this one. The fact that it takes such a long time probably indicates that something is wrong with the backend arcitecture of Office 365. I get flashback from the past. On how Windows was a one user OS and how multiple users functionality was kind of glued on top of it.
This was kind of sorted with NT but is still not rock solid. So my guess is that we have to wait for the next generation of Office 365. Rumours say it will be called Office One 365.

This must be so simple. Having multiple instances of a program running has been possible since Windows 3.0. I am a little bit worried about the underlying architecture of Teams when I hear that this is a limitation. Something must be very wrong.
