Thank you for the feedback and waiting for this feature with patience. We have enabled download of a meeting attendance list during a meeting. This is released for general availability. Please note this feature is turned off by default, and needs to be enabled via admin policy.

See documentation for this feature here: https://support.office.com/article/download-attendance-reports-in-teams-ae7cf170-530c-47d3-84c1-3aedac74d310

Note: We are continuing to work on enabling download after a meeting has concluded, as well.

    Thanks.

We already have the ability to download the attendance list after the meeting concludes, as long as the organizer does not hang up. I figured this out by accident, and it's the best way to ensure you capture all of the attendees. The trick is not closing out your Teams session until after you've downloaded it. I'm not the best at remembering to do that and tested it out one day and it worked great!

However, the downloaded list is no match for the functionality Skype currently provides by automatically logging the attendees in OneNote, which is what I would really like to see y'all work on. We are being forced to stop using Skype and as a project manager with meetings that sometimes near 100 participants, even using the downloaded list can be a nightmare in trying to reconcile in OneNote. It wastes a ton of time. I do appreciate you trying to make enhancements. Would like to see the OneNote enhancement first. Thanks!

Thank you for your continued feedback. We are in the process of testing the downloading of the attendance report after the meeting has concluded. For status updates, please view the roadmap item here, https://www.microsoft.com/microsoft-365/roadmap?filters=Microsoft%20Teams&searchterms=66459.

Just adding some additional input. The inability of Teams to automatically capture the attendees in OneNote is a critical flaw for those of us who run project meetings with a lot of attendees (70+ participants). Unfortunately, my management is requiring we convert from Skype meetings to running meetings through Teams and this is very problematic. Not sure what the additional overhead will be to try to manually capture attendance but not looking forward to it. Is there a fix in the works for Teams to automatically capture attendance in OneNote and if so, what's the targeted deployment date? Skype has been doing this for years so it's taking a huge step backward not to have this functionality.
