Teams and Channels
Add ability to create Teams and Channels like the organisation version.
Chat alone is too restrictive if you want to organise and collaborate on events and projects in a family.
Or at least allow paid upgrade to use this function.
Maybe rename them to something like Groups or Projects.

This is absolutely needed. Without it, Teams is not Teams. But would be absolutely ok if only available in paid versions like Microsoft 365 family. I tried Teams and was completely stunned that my family was not automatically created as a Team.

Even a simple way of grouping chats would be useful (it doesn't have to be the corporate 'Teams' and 'Channels').
e.g. Can create multiple chats with the same person or group of people that can be named according to the different 'event' you are planning or 'topic' you are discussing.
Otherwise, people will just be sticking to WhatApp etc.

YES!!!
This is the entire point of Teams over Skype!
We already have Skype for chat groups.
Without teams (logical organization of groups of people)...
And channels (logical organization of threaded conversations)...There is absolutely nothing gained by just slapping a purple theme on Skype and calling it Teams Personal.

Personal version is not setup to plan and collaborate on events, holidays and activities.
Chat alone doesn't allow you to create separate sections and organise conversations about different topics.
Like the in full Teams with Teams and Channels.Example - could call a Team - 'Children ' and have different Channels for each child to discuss school etc.
Other Team examples could be: Holidays, Home, Work, Renovation, Wedding etc with Channels for relevant subheading to work on with friends and family.Otherswise chat is the same as WhatsApp and won't be able to convince people to join Teams personal version.

You can create groups in the Chat tab, altough I'm not sure you can create multiple groups with the same members.
