Notify assignee of new tasks in Planner in Teams for GCC
I am astounded that Planner in Teams does not send any notification to the person assigned that they have a new task. Confoundingly, if anyone comments on any task, EVERYONE in the Team gets an email. Please fix this fundamental flaw that prevents Planner from functioning correctly in Teams for GCC.

I concur with this idea. This is just a basic function that should be on be default just like tagging on teams. You get tagged, you're notified. You're assigned a task, you should be notified!

It took me so long to figure out that this isn't available--I figured surely I just didn't know how. Notifications should be possible for all sorts of things!

I concur! Planner would be a perfect solution for several group efforts wtihin my branch, but without the notification option available for assignments, it's pretty much useless for team work. Please make that available in GCC.

I echo the sentiment here on notifications for task assignments. It is such a basic fundamental need when indivuals are assigned tasks in GCC or otherwise, send them a notification. This would also work well when comments/conversations are added to a task. It would make it much easier to inquire and receive a status update.

agreed! we could use the very basic functionality of at least a notification when a task is assigned. Please allow the GCC version to simply work like the basic version :)

Agreed. Notifications for new tasks would be fantastic and super useful! Online indicates this feature is pretty common with a planner bot. Request this be added as it's difficult to know when a new task has been added. I also agree that disabling the email everyone receives on comments would be nice.
