Contacts in Phone System
Since a couple of years we are using MS Phone system, which works really well.
Now – because we are being forced - we are/were about to make the transition from SfB to MS Teams.
For testing we bought an Yealink T55A, nice phone but it does not show the contacts from an Teams account.
Turns out MS haven’t implemented the "Contact" features on the application yet.
Forwarding incoming calls is hard because of this.
We want to forward calls to an contact (telephone number), not necessarily to an Teams account!
Phonesystem is more or less useless for us in this form, any chance this will be coming soon?
There is a huge time lag for people to answer calls from a call queue! You never know when to say hello and this is bad for customer service!
Contact on physical phones - You should be able to program an external number on your phone. This is a basic concept of a phone in a phone system. You should not have to dial an external phone number to add it to a contact list!!!! You should not have to log into the Teams client to add external contacts quickly or without calling them!!!!!
A physical phone should have the ability to transfer callers to a contact list quickly!! You should not have to look up in directory a persons name to transfer a call.
A phone should be able to dial 911 and other 3-digit numbers like 311 without writing a normalization rule.
