allow multiple instances of Teams to be open
I'd like to be able to open multiple instances of Teams so that I can have each instance open on a different Team and perhaps another instance open to the Chat. Not being able to do this makes it hard to keep track of where I am when I'm switching tasks.

Absolutely need the ability to run multiple instances of Teams at the same time. Multitasking is essential!

This is very important because we have the government account and our own business account so with the current limitations of one account we have to sacrifice one of them or use two devices so we won't lose calls and don't have to sign our and sign in every hour
It will be great if this will be implented soon on both mobile and desktop and we should be able to see from which account the current incoming or outgoing call / meeting is

So this request to me is something that is broken down into two feature needs:
1. Allow me to have the desktop teams run and get notifications etc in multiple instances
2. Let me create daughter windows of an instance of teams resource.Yes MSFT Teams needs to catchup to the many thousands of requests for these two features, till then here is something to work around with/for 1:
1. Here is a link to two possible ways to get the full desktop app to work and run twice: https://www.linkedin.com/pulse/run-multiple-instances-ms-teams-denis-molodtsov
2. You can do the same basic thing with MacOS if you have admin rights for the "run as" solutionFor the second one, MSFT's new edge essentially does the Nativefier (from the link above) for you:
1. login to the site on Edge (new Chromium version)
2. Select horzontal hamburger for settings in top right
3. Select "Apps"
4. Select "Install this site as App"
That should give you the page your where on as an app in it's own application window.Hope that helps others needing something till they (MSFT) finally decide to fix this.
PS This also works for GCC tenants as well from what I can tell.
For 1, here is a compare and contrast

Whether it's a different "instance" or whether you can just pull out a meeting or chat just as you can pull a tab in a browser out into a separate window, this feature is needed badly. It is difficult to attend a meeting live, and still maintain other chats or check calendar, etc.. We have worked around this occasionally by using the portal web view as a "secondary" teams window, but it shouldn't be this complicated.. Should be more intuitive and supported directly

I want to be able to find both teams sessions in a predictable place rather than having to sort through a dozen browser windows for one that may or may not be there.

I really need to be able to have 3 instances open at once. Often I'll be in a meeting and someone will send me a chat. If i could have both open at once i would be able to follow along with the meeting. Also, like with OneNote, I often have two or three channels work on the go. Please can we have multiple instances.

You can actually have 2 already. One in the desktop client and the other in the web client/app.

Voted! This also comes up for me a lot in file collaboration, where I want the file and a chat window. But even just to have two or more chats open, rather than switching back and forth, would be great.
