Allow "Website" App for SharePoint.com URL's in GCC
It was previously stated that it is difficult for Microsoft to add the "Website" app to Microsoft Teams in GCC due to concerns over compliance. If opening up to any URL is a concern or difficult item to address, how about allowing links to *.sharepoint.com? This would allow users in Teams to have a more integrated experience and allow use of applications that are coming from trusted sources.
Since only sites created with the modern TEMPLATE (not the modern EXPERIENCE, but the actual template used at the time of the site creation) integrate with Teams to be added via the SharePoint add-an-app in Teams, and since many of our site collections and subsites predate the modern template, we tried to work around it by adding the SharePoint Online site to a website tab instead of the SharePoint tab, but it was still nogo.
I would allow [yourtenantname].sharepoint.com at least. Hopefully integration within a tenant to other GCC resources would be fully supported.
Yes, would greatly appreciate this.
It would be great if something like this could be added so that we cold utilize features that are available on the SharePoint Team sites in Microsoft Teams (like calendars and OneNote).
