  1. We need there to be some sort of portal for live meetings so attendees can register for the events like other webinar software has.

    Once you create a live meeting there is no way to know who plans to attend the event live. There is only the attendee engagement report once the meeting is over. I know that at my agency at the least, there is a requirement that they need to know who is coming to the event and what organization they work for. Without this feature we will never be able to utilize Teams for live events. We love every other aspect of Teams live events compared to other webinar software out there but those other software has registration portals. This is…

  2. Ability to archive and file Chat conversations

    I would like to be able to archive chat into a place like Conversations in Outlook like Skype does.

    In the case of Channel Chats, it would be good to be able to attach them to Meeting Notes or archive the chat conversations into a document library.

    We deal with NEPA and contracting and would appreciate that capability.

  3. Add Breakout room capabilities like in Adobe Connect.

    In Adobe Connect you can have breakout rooms for people to attend. this would be a great feature to add to teams and teams live.

  4. Live Annotation Tools

    Having live annotation tools for Teams Meetings/Workshops where the attendees can give live input on the screen, similar to whiteboard capabilities. This would be helpful for keeping meetings and workshops interactive and brainstorming ideas.

  5. pop out chats

    With multiple chats going on at any given time and the inconvenience of jumping within Teams to various ongoing chats or other work, would really appreciate the ability to pop out chat sessions.

  6. Keep pinned posts visible in channel

    When a post is pinned in a channel, keep that post visible at the bottom of the channel at all times.
    Pinned posts are used for important announcements and information, and hiding them in information pane of a channel does not allow for using them as an effective announcement. Pinned posts in a channel should be shown to all users immediately when they open the channel.

  7. Meeting Options - add ability to disable chat for specific meetings

    With the release of hard mute in meeting options, there are many public meetings we are using Live Events for that could truly be handled with a Teams meeting with hard mute. During public meetings, the public can view/listen to the meeting, but cannot speak or have unsolicited comments be seen by all. Having the ability to mute attendees solves part of the problem, but now we need the ability to disable chat for specific meetings so we can use this solution since it solves many complications we have with live events and external presenters.

  8. notification

    So you know how you can turn on the notification "all activity" for a channel in a team. It would be nice to be able to turn on and off "all activity notification" for one whole team that is separate from other team. Not notifications for the whole app.

    Example : Click on the 3 dots beside the team name ( drop down menu - manage team, add channel, add member etc..) not general and have an option that states "turn on all notification" in that drop down menu that way you don't have to it individually for each channel.

  9. Switching channels from private to public or public to private

    Understanding that 'used' chats (any team/channel that has comments from other members besides the owner) may have privacy issues, it would benefit us (the owners/creators) that while figuring out how our team is to be built, we would be allowed edit rights to move channels from public to private, and private to public (especially when no one has submitted anything in there other than the owner). It's frustrating that one must go in and create a whole new channel with a modified name (because the old channel, regardless if it's been erased or not, is still using that original name),…

  11. Meetings - screen sharing - switching screens/apps

    When sharing a screen and changing from sharing an app to a screen, or an app to an app, or a screen to an app, you shouldn't have to end the sharing session to change so that the transition is less jarring.

  12. Spotlight - ability to spotlight multiple particpants

    We need a way to allow Teams meeting organizer to spotlight multiple users. During virtual proceedings, there is a need to keep the judge's video and whomever is speaking at that time on the screen. There is also a need to be able to hard mute all attendants and only allow them to speak when it is appropriate.

WE HAVE BEEN MAKING MEETINGS FOR OUR VIRTUAL HEARINGS AND WE WERE NOT ABLE TO HEAR MR.JACK AND ZUCKERBERG CORRECTLY BECAUSE OF THE AUTOMATIC MICROPHONE AUDIO GAIN. WE SET UP OUR MICROS TO GAIN AT PLUS 30DB IN WINDOWS (WHICH IS MAXIMUM) BUT IN TEAMS THE SOUND OF THE MIC IS MEDIOCRE.   14. Missing Government Tenant Features

    We (GCC, GCC High, DOD) need a central place to go where we can see all the GA features not currently released to us and their status. The roadmap is useful but not for items not on it such as Tags, channel email, pinning channels, whiteboard... that have been in GA for months but are not on the roadmap. It would be very helpful to know (generally) as an administrator why they are not available and if they are being considered or not for future release.

  15. Add a virtual, "I agree with this"

    Similar to the new hand raising option, which is really helpful, how about a way to say I agree with the current speaker. It could either be something switched on and off or you can press the button to "send" an agreement. Almost a virtual, "hear hear" - so people don't have to come off mute to say they agree whennthey don't have anything else to add to the conversation.

  16. Pop-out Chat and/or Participants window options within Meetings

    As a Teams Meeting user, I would like the ability to enhance my options for viewing the Chat (or meeting conversation) and/or the Participants List with a "pop-out" feature.

    The ability to pop-out these areas (similar to the existing fly-out or pop-out option for a Teams personal chat) would allow users to:

    • Enable an option to utilize the Meeting screen real estate more efficiently when viewing and/or sharing content and video.
    • Permit users to resize the amount of space the pop-out chat or participant list takes up on their individual monitor(s) or screen(s) with ease.

  17. Allow for presenter to see chat and hand raised

    In Teams meetings, the presenter cannot monitor the chat box or the hands raised, which makes presenting really clunky. Inevitably someone needs to monitor the chat box and interrupt the presenter rather than allowing the presenter to handle it when they want.

  19. Edit display name functionality

    For virtual hearings, or other online meetings with external users there is a need to maintain privacy and at times a need for the meeting organizer to edit participants display name during a meeting.
