  1. Language setting only applies on Main Page (MTR)

I have applied Swedish language on MTR system, so now my Teams app is showing Swedish and 24h clock which is great. But it only does it on the main page, when entering the meeting options (invite page) or joining a meeting, the language is English / 12h clock (AM/PM)
    Using 4.3.33.0 version.

  2. Restore channel UI element should indicate if restore is not available

Currently when a channel has been removed and has remained deleted for 30+ days, the "Restore" button continues to show up in "Channels" tab of "manage team" settings despite it no longer being available for restore.

This misleads users who will click it without realising that restore is not available. There is also no feedback to the user to suggest the restore is not occuring.

My suggestion is for the channel settings UI to display if a restore is available or not (such as making the "Restore" option dissapear)
In an ideal scenario, the UI would also show the date…

  3. "Copy Link" or alternative should give direct access to link not formatted html

I want to be able to use "Copy Link" and past the link into:

    • url bar

    • Jira issue

    • github comment/issue

    • gitlab comment/issue

    • text editor

Currently however "Copy Link" puts html on the clipboard which disallows the above use cases.

Below I paste the clipboard contents from "Copy Link":

  4. Request Control button appears right where Show Participants was; too easy to request control

Right as you're joining an already-running meeting, the first thing you want to do is see who's in the meeting, so you go to click on the Show Participants button... then the Request Control button finally loads, and appears right where the Show Participants button was, shifting it to the left. So you end up clicking on Request Control when you never meant to do that. I've done that to many times, and it's very embarrassing. It throws the presenter off-track (disrupts their train of thought), and everyone in the meeting is wondering why I feel I need to take…

  5. UI/UX bug: "Start a new conversation" should be a button

It is very common (especially with new users) to make the mistake of starting a new conversation instead of replying to an existing one. People are used to WhatsApp groups that doesn't have threads of conversations, so, they always go to the text field at the bottom of the screen to reply to previous messages and ignore the "Reply" links at the bottom of each conversation.

The "Start a new conversation" today is just a textfield with a placeholder. The textfield is already there, so, the users go there and doesn't click on the "Reply". This is a huge problem,…

  8. {{::buttonText}} when viewing a team's chat

When I click a team I get this {{::buttonText}} on the side menu. I guess it's an issue with injecting state in the side menu component. If it's similar to Slack then this would've been a channel's name.

  9. Color of the call accept/answer icon

Please consider changing the color of the call accept / answer button to something more intuitive (green). Currently, it’s gray and the end button is red, so when a call comes in, you naturally want to press the button that has more contrast. My colleagues and I continually press the end button and reject the calls!

  10. Custom background preview is mirrored but main display is not

When I was designing some custom backgrounds, I found that the images in the preview pane are mirrored but the main display is not. This was not discovered until I actually used the background which appeared normal in preview but was backwards for the viewers.

  11. Reply Feature

    Hello,
I request that the Reply feature be sent to the messages in the desktop application. Just like on mobile.
It is very important in group messaging.
    Thanks

  12. MacOS App doesn't default back to text box after switching back from another app.

There's a really bad messaging app flaw that MicrosoftTeams has for Mac OS users. When a chat is created and I have to switch to another app and switch back to Teams, when i start typing, nothing happens. I have to select the text box in start typing again. I know it's a default setting for the Windows Microsoft Teams App, but not the best for Mac users. Really frustrating when all messaging apps have that for default, even Slack. Just another reminder for Microsoft to also not improve their Windows version, but make sure that also translates for the…

  13. Cannot sort contacts by status.

Allow users to sort the contacts in chat, the same way you can in Skype for Business - by Groups/Teams, Status, Relationships, New - and perhaps add the Recent and Suggested as tabs there as well.

  14. Captions are falling off the screen

Using the closed captions feature the text is often printing with 50% of the last line off the bottom of the screen, it doesn't seem to matter if teams if running in Window or maximised

  16. Pop Out Chat Window Scaling Broken

The ability to pop out a chat window was finally enabled in our tenant. I just noticed the new chat window does not follow or adhere to the Window Scaling I have selected for Teams itself.

For example I have zoom set to 120% but when I pop out a chat the window is only at the default 100%. There doesn't seem to be a setting for the popout window.

  18. There is not enough room on the title bar to drag the window when using split screen or monitors in portrait mode

The available click / drag area is about 1/8 of an inch. See RED highlight on attached image. There should always be a 1-2 inch drag handle in the title bar, or better yet, GET THE SEARCH BOX OUT OF THE TITLE BAR. Let windows handle the window management things. At least Visual Studio's cramming of the menu in the title bar complies with my OS visibility settings, and can be turned off.

  19. Screen sharing control bar moves after clicking certain icons on it

When viewing a shared screen, clicking the "show conversation" or "show participants" icons causes the control bar to move left by several inches in order to accommodate the newly opened sidebar.

I've accidentally requested control in several meetings when trying to quickly view the chat because of this, as when the sidebar is opened, the "request control" button moves exactly where the "show conversation" and "show participants" icons had previously been.

  20. Teams UI Issue in half screen mode: Teams pane is hiding tabs in halft screen mode

When I use teams in half screen mode along with other applications for the multitasking purpose, The teams pane in the application hides the portion of the current working tab. It makes hard to use teams in half screen mode along with other application and restrict my productivity.
There should be an option for hiding teams list pane for better usablity.

Also when I resize the teams application size, my application doesn't change the size according to the teams application. Instead of this it appears scroll bar for that.
