Switching tenants no longer works on Linux
Since week 13/14 2021 it is no longer possible to switch tenants in MS Teams for Linux.
This is a blocking issue and results in users not being able to join tenants as guests.
You always return to the default tenant.
Some errors found in the logs while switching are attached to this uservoice bug.
So... Perhaps someone at Microsoft has noticed this is an issue? All of the top comments are related to the inability to transition between tenants. Is there another work-around that isn't using the browser? And, do we have anyone that can confirm MS is actually working to fix this one?
Thanks @Ryan Davis
Finally I could log in the correct tenant from my ubuntu!
*But I still can't alternate through tenants. :.(

1. sign out of teams
1. open teams, get to the sign in page
1. click "Sign-in options" on the O365 login screen and choose "Sign in to an organization"
1. type in the domain name of the organization to sign in to - you can see what these are in the azure portal's "switch directory" option, for me it was "$COMPANY.onmicrosoft.com"
1. enter user/pass as normal

There's another thread over at https://techcommunity.microsoft.com/t5/microsoft-teams/teams-open-and-close-itself-when-you-change-team-scope-ubuntu/m-p/2497261 for this issue, with the same logs that are already attached here.
problem still exists in teams client 1.4.00.13653
has been more than 2 months with the same problem, yikes
Same problem here, on Arch Linux as well.

Running Arch Linux and also experiencing issues with signing into the latest Teams. Has been working very well and suddenly became a problem. Having to struggle to login to teams is not fun when it is becoming so central to work.

Same here with Ubuntu 20.04.
First i thought it was a problem related to my account/license, but it seems like it more possibly related to guest accounts in general.

Same problem here, on ArchLinux
Same here too. Linux Mint 20.1 x64. Teams Flatpak (com.microsoft.teams) 1.4.00.7556
Microsoft support have confirmed back to me that they know the issue is there.
Same here. I am on Linux Mint using the MS Teams package available in the official repository.

Same here, Arch linux (https://aur.archlinux.org/packages/teams uses the .deb provided by Microsoft). Was able to swith before, no longer with current client. Seems to restart twice while trying to switch.

Same problem here 1.4.00.7556 64bits, Ubuntu 20.04 LTS. It's a blocking issue for us.
Same issue here with Ubuntu 20.10. I could reproduce this issue with different machines and MS accounts (including new accounts).
I can also see the "Error saving cookie" message within my "errors.txt" file for each login attempt to the guest organization
I can confirm this issue is not only in the current 1.4.00.7556 (64-bit) version, but now also in previous versions, like 1.3.00.30857 (64-bit). I tested this version in a fresh installed Fedora 34 VM, and the same bug occurs, switching tenants returns to the default tenant. Not working in older versions anymore as well.
Switching tenants works in the browser UI or Android App.
same here !!
Same problem here - I was previously able to switch to other teams (where I am a guest) but since the update to 1.4.00.7556 (64-bit) two days ago, I've been unable to switch. I can use the browser UI to access those teams, but not the linux preview client any more.
(Ubuntu 20.04 LTS on I7/32Gb RAM)
