Notifications are not coming to the front
I'm using Teams Windows desktop client.
Since a few Weeks ago there is an old problem from spring 2020 in the notifications. If another application is set maximized, the notifications for new messages or incoming calls notification are not appearing on top. Without my speakers i wouldn't recognize an incoming call. I'm working remote via Windows RDP and face this problem every day -_-
And I am not the only affected user...there are currently houndreds of affected user - look in the comments of the old bug reports:
Please solve it asap! Thanks!
we are experiencing the same issue with the VMware Horizon client when connected to a VDI we dont get the teams notifications, especially meeting starts etc and regularly miss meetings because of this issue
A new build was spotted in the wild, 1.4.00.13259, which was released on 5/12/2021, and can be downloaded from https://statics.teams.cdn.office.net/production-windows-x64/1.4.00.13259/Teams_windows_x64.exe
I actually managed to grab this particular build from https://raw.githubusercontent.com/ItzLevvie/MicrosoftTeams-msinternal/master/defconfig and the builds list is seemingly updated every day or so.
It appears to be fixed in this version (until they break it again on the next version!)
Thanks @fudgi !!! For me it works :-)
I have a number of user that dont get the any teams call notifications, we have cleared and deleted any teams folders in appdata, as well as uninstalled and reinstalled, still didnt work. We tried login the user out and I login to there teams, when the then logged back in we managed to get one call notification, but after that it stopped working again,. the version we are using is 1.4.00.4167 any ideas

Actually I did further testing and I find that the most recent versions of Teams for Windows X64 are displaying notifications OK when using full screen REMOTE DESKTOP CONNECTION:
1.4.00.65531 released 2021.03.04 works OK
1.4.00.6862 released 2021.03.09 works OK
It's strange that the bug was fixed in the 1.4.00.914 released 2021.01.09 but then the bug was reintroduced in versions 1.4.00.3484 released 2021.02.05 and 1.4.00.4167 released 2021.02.10

Dear fudgi, for me 1.4.00.65531 does NOT solve the problem. If I am using REMOTE DESKTOP CONNECTION in full-screen mode then the Teams inbound call notifications pop-up does NOT appear on top. If I have operational speakers then I can hear the ringing, then I must minimize the REMOTE DESKTOP CONNECTION window to see the Teams inbound call notification.
Newest Version 1.4.00.65531 (https://statics.teams.cdn.office.net/production-windows-x64/1.4.00.65531/Teams_windows_x64.exe) works again
We are using teams locally and run Citrix for other applications. When the Citrix session is on the display we have to minimize the open Citrix session to answer a call. MS please fix this.
Having the same problem when I'm using a laptop + monitor "Extend These Displays" setup. I can hear the incoming call ringing, but the notification for me to pick up is nowhere to be seen.
I have to wait until the call ends then call back.
Being able to accept calls is a critical part of this software, we really need a fix for this.
How is this still an issue? Problem already since december 2020. I have the same issue and not working on RDS.
Same over here. Always when working on RDP, popup is there but hides behind other windows.

I also experience this when whenever anybody calls as I work on RDP and have Teams running locally. Very annoying!

I have the same problem, but the notification seems to be appearing in the far-right desktop (use ctrl+win+right to move or win+tab to show an overview). Teams doesnt seem to recognise which desktop Im currently using, but always shows the notification on the most right.

Same here - it's been like this for months. Very annoying. When I'm in a full screen Remote Desktop session, the notification is right at the very back of all the windows and I've got to minimize everything to get to it to answer the call.
Same here, many random people have this issue in my organisation, is there any workaround we can do in the meantime?
+1...multiple people in my organization are having this issue currently as well. All Teams windows (other than the main window) only appear underneath everything else on the system.
We also have users experiencing this.
