Screen share won't find newly open programs
When doing screen share in a Teams meeting, it will not find newly opened programs after the meeting starts. You need to stop the meeting open all programs and then you can click screen share to see the open programs to share. It will not work if you start the meeting FIRST and then open the programs you need to share.
Also, you are having to scroll down to see all available options if more than 2 programs are open and trying to screen share. Many teachers are getting confused and has been many of our Customer Support calls.

Not just newly opened programs. I have noticed, and documented with other staff, that often the OneNote app in particular (usually Windows 10 version, but also OneNote for Windows) won't show up in the list of available apps to share even when it has been open for an extended time and is the most recently used Window.

This is so annoying. I've had to exit the meeting, leaving students wating, and re-enter just to be able to share a document. Does Microsoft not run UI tests for this kind of thing before releasing a build?

For completeness, I would add windows that have been closed, remain available in the Share Content selection panel - even though they are no longer available.
The only way to refresh the Share Content selection panel is to leave the meeting and re-join.

I upgraded my mac to Big Sur and now I noticed I cannot open and then share a window, if I want to share a window, it needs to be open before I join or initiate the Teams meeting.
Also noticed when I run a slide show the mic now stops working.

As a large UK edu client we really struggle with this change as lecturers are now stuck in a situation where if they forget to have any resource open before a call with students there's no way to share just that window. This isn't an issue in other clients such as Zoom and is definitely a real pain point.

Buenos dias. Yo tengo el mismo problema y como sugieren en los comentarios, este problema fue al actualizar el teams a la version 1.3.00.28779. Antes no había este error. Por favor ojalas que Microsoft arregle este problema con un fix.

We can confirm this issue was NOT present in Teams version: 1.3.00.26064 . It is introduced in version 1.3.00.28779 and higher. We opened a case 22750139 and got back the feedback that this is the new expected behavior. I was advised to post a bug over here. I would like to add myself to the list of companies effected by this bug.

In education you need delivery to be simple and stream lined. Students have short attention spans and if it takes too long to present something they have lost focus It is also important to be be able to quickly and easily model behaviors and expectations.

Why did Microsoft update teams by making more limitations to teachers, if this continues to be a problem, teachers will be forced to find other options for having on line classes with students. Students ask many questions, and you used to be able to go anywhere online and share your screen with them for needed guidance and teaching, now you can't, because you cannot leave your class meeting while you are in class supervising instruction. Please change this update to reflect the needs of teachers and not restrict our exploring on line with our classrooms, thank you.
