Creating a team using an existing team as a template no longer copies the tab set up options
I am using the Educational tenancy of Teams. We have created template style teams to encourage our users to copy when creating a new team to help create the same structure across all teams.
Previously, when we created a new team and select 'create team using an existing team as a template' and ensure channels and tabs are ticked, it copied over the tabs we had created within the channels and prompted the user to 'set up the tab'. Now however, the tabs are copied but with no functionality - the only available option is to delete the tab. This negates any benefit to copying the tabs.

Same here and now when we try and create a Planner Board from within one of these template sites we get a message "Failed to create the plan" -- what changed??

An issue surfaced recently, about three weeks ago with recreating channel tabs. After we create a new team using an existing team as a template, the option "Ready to Setup the tab?" to recreate channel/group tabs within the new Team is no longer given. This used to work, but now the only option given is to "Remove" (see attached files). Was a Microsoft update rolled out that could have caused this? If not, can anyone advise on what actions are needed to correct this issue?

Yeah, there is no point in being able to copy tabs if all you can do is delete them.
