Speaker phone automatically turns on because of MS Teams
Since installing MS teams on my Note9 everytime I make a phone call on any platform, speaker mode automatically turns on after 11 seconds.
So suddenly I have someone yelling in my ear! So annoying 😩
When I uninstalling MS Teams the issue goes away.
Thank you for reporting this! The latest build of Teams in the app store addresses this issue. You can find the latest build by visiting https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.microsoft.teams. Thanks!

Same issue with my Galaxy S8.
It shouldn't really take this much or long to get such a serious bug fixed, but I escalated through the company I work for and the fix is apparently applied in an update rolling out from today.
Same challenge for me ... uninstalling Teams and the issue dissapears. Is there a workaround?
Same issue on my Samsung 9 after update to Andriod 10 version and patch on Sprint network.
Always happens to my Samsung phone as well. I'd like to know if there's a workaround.

I just turned off WiFi calling and it eliminated the speaker issue. Only tested a couple of times thus far.

Same problem on my Note 9 with latest firmware installed. Phone is unusable in this state. I am on 24/7 support and Teams is required for my work. Fix this problem, it should be on your high priority list. And thanks everybody for posting this, I have been going crazy....

Same problem on S20
+1 - MS Teams caused speakerphone to turn on during any call. Random times. Deleted MS Teams app, issue disappeared.
Note --- disabling phone access on MS Teams app did not solve the issue.
I have this problem now also since installing teams! I have to have it for work also, pls fix this microsoft!!!
Same exact problem here. I thought my note 8 was just crapping out because it was over 2 years old. Was dropping from both of my cars, was dropping from my headset, and also was just activating the speaker during a regular phone call.
My phone is pretty much unusable as a phone now, so being forced to remove teams. Of course, everybody communicates via teams at work.
Would love to fix this problem.
I am having the same issue. Temporarily uninstalled Teams from my phone but need it on there for work. PLEASE FIX!
S8+ exact same issue. get your sh!t together microsoft!

Exactly same issue. Needless to say I need Teams app to do my work, but this is really an annoying bug and affects the quality of the calls.
Exactly the same issue here. Not sure if Android or Teams is the culprit but it's a seriously annoying problem but I need to have Teams on my phone for work. Also, is it just me or has everyone else's MS apps (Teams, Outlook) started running is super slow mo? Takes for ever to start when I press the icon.
I ran into the same issue with Teams in the work profile on my Samsung S10. Removing it appears, so far, to have resolved the issue.
Same issue, speaker phone is hijacked from both bluetooth and handset, occurs at random intervals - typically in the first 30 seconds of a call, and can occur multiple times within a call.
Takes toggling on/off Androids bluetooth/speaker phone icons to restore the correct audio path.
Samsung S9+ running Android 10, build QP1A.190711.020.G965FXXS7DTB5.
Teams running in Work profile.
Unfortunately I dont have the option of uninstalling Teams from my handset.
Remove teams from my work profile and no longer happens. Was consistently doing this. Samsung S9+
