High CPU on Linux when Teams is idle
I am using teams1.3.00.5153amd64.deb and have found when the app is idle, it is still consuming significant CPU. I ran strace and saw the same pattern running continuously which I think explains it. Can this be fixed?

I have the same issue on Ubuntu 20.04. It happens multiple times per day, and makes Teams nearly unusable.

Not doing anything on Teams suddenly the fan starts spinning up... due to the CPU consumption of Teams increasing for no apparent reason. This lasts for about 10 min and then the CPU consumption of Teams falls again. Very annoying
Did not happen a month ago. Have been using Teams under Debian all-pandemic-long (open for weeks...). But now it goes ballistic several times a day. This is on a Desktop, so no battery to check for :-)

It happens for me also in idle

Seeing this too, while idle I get high cpu usage, making the laptop fan spinning all time and draining the battery. The advice is to use this application only when strictly necessary leaving it off all time and using the phone app for the notifications.

It happens for me after a video call, worsen with more participants.
