If teams is minimized it shows me as away after 5/10 minutes
Teams shows me as away when the desktop app is minimized. I am still working but my team thinks I am away. Very annoying!
It's interesting that there are so many threads documenting this issue, but only Terry's link categorized it as a bug, rather than a suggestion:
1. (largest vote count, even larger than the one Terry posted) https://microsoftteams.uservoice.com/forums/555103-public/suggestions/19544905-incorrect-status-in-teams
3. (this thread) https://microsoftteams.uservoice.com/forums/908686-bug-reports/suggestions/40575991-if-teams-is-minimized-it-shows-me-as-away-after-5
5. (closed but comments say still occurring) https://microsoftteams.uservoice.com/forums/555103-public/suggestions/18629083-don-t-switch-to-away-just-because-i-m-using-a-d

There's a larger thread handling away status, maybe the threads can be combined to create a bigger on: https://microsoftteams.uservoice.com/forums/908686-bug-reports/suggestions/41278342-teams-now-setting-my-status-to-away-after-10-min
The only solution I found for this was downloading a 3rd party program that moves your mouse in micro-movements every minute so the screen never falls asleep. It worked for me.
Same - unless I am working within the teams pages it shows that I am away, when clearly I am not. meaning that colleagues will not contact me as they are presuming I am not there, making this platform unusable for one of its main features (chat)
Also agree with changing the way the Status are set. If not going back into Teams, the status may show away for a while, even though we may be working.
I agree that having the ability to set a duration before status changes to Away would be very helpful.
In addition to this bug, please let us set a duration before status changes to Away, as we could with Skype for Business.
