Time Zone not redirecting in Citrix\RDS environments
Currently running a Citrix environment with the Teams machine wide package installed. Time zone redirection is working, as the system time reflects the clients local time and Outlook does as well, however in teams when viewing the Calendar it shows everything in server local time which can be up to 4 hours off for some clients.
could you either:
A - have teams following the time zone redirection policy as well like the other apps...or
B - place a setting in the app that allows the client to choose their time zone so that the meeting show properly in teams.
I believe either of these would solve the issue for the clients. If there's a hidden reg key or anything I'm not aware of, please let me know.
Thanks,
Steve.

Thank you for your feedback. This issue has been resolved on clients with version 21795 and above. To check for the latest updates, select your avatar in the upper-right corner of Teams and then select Check for updates.

We have multiple VDI users deployed over many countries and continents reported this issue. Please prioritize this issue and fix. Thank you!

I raised this bug to O365 support back in April 2020. After a few weeks, they said the Teams engineering team expected to have the issue fixed within about 1 month. I haven't been able to find anything about it since then saying the issue has been fixed. If there are users from multiple time zones that log onto the same Citrix delivery group, there's no current way around some of them having their Teams Calendar times off by whatever difference in time zone they are from the Citrix server. The only way to make sure everyone has the correct time would be to setup different delivery groups for different time zones, and set the server time zone for the servers in the delivery group to match. For instance, have multiple delivery groups for Citrix Desktop (PST), Citrix Desktop (MST), Citrix Desktop (CST), Citrix Desktop (EST), etc. But this is clunky and would ONLY be to handle Teams not handling time zones properly like every other application does. If the user goes to teams.microsoft.com inside their Citrix session the Teams web interface shows their correct timezone. It's only the Teams thick client that is not working properly. If anyone notices that Microsoft has finally fixed this issue, please update this forum. Thank you!

Same as other companies using Citrix, timestamps issue is impacting calendars and meetings. Hopefully a fix will come out soon.

Like others below, we have many Citrix users and this bug will prevent them from using Teams until it is fixed.

Would be nice if the Microsoft APIs did their job - is there a way to add processes (via registry) in RDS for explicit process TZ redirection?

Ideally, the application should be able to resolve the local client's timezone the same way it does for all other applications on the server session. I would vote for A.

We're experiencing the same issue. We have multiple users in different time zones so applying the "fix" to the registry would make things worse for us.

As we have a big Global Citrix Setup centralized in Denmark, we need MS to fix this ASAP

Microsoft please fix this. We have users all around the world connected to our Citrix environment. Using the server time zone is useless

We see the same issue. If you go into the server registry HKLM\System\CurrentContolSet\Contol\TimeZoneInfomation and update it to the TimeZone you are in then it shows the time. This is assuming everyone logging in is on the same timezone. Our servers are in Mountain and in this case these user are in Pacific. NOT A FIX but it works
