Live content queue doesn't work
We're running a webinar using Teams Live Event. The content queue doesn't work, you can't queue content only share one person's screen at a time.
If another user shares their screen it immediately overwrites the content being broadcast, which is not good at all!
We expect better controls. Why are producers being broadcasters as if they're presenters and not have the option of talking into presenter's ears without being broadcast? Why can't presenters have producer controls if we want them to? Why can't presenters be changed to producers on the fly? Why does a powerpoint not tie in properly with the broadcast controls? As in why can't we show presenters what the next slide will be if it's not their presentation?
It's got a lot of potential but it's a pretty basic at the moment.
This is a must have feature. It's not intuitive to not be able to queue up several presenters and only have a single content source.
There's no point to have more than 1 presenter when only one presenter/producer can share a content at time. The only thing that you can put into the queue when the event is live is the video feed. Microsoft have to bear in mind that live event is not only about video.
So frustrating to not be able to queue the next presentation without overwriting the live content! Takes away the ability for smooth transitions.
I agree with the comments below.
I agree. The interface suggests that a producer can choose content and queue it up before sending it live. But it only works that way the first time BEFORE you actually start the event. Once the event has started content from the producer and the presenter go straight to live. So as the producer I have to stop sharing content before I can share something else and then I get the screen saying "The Live Event will continue in a minute." That just looks like I don't know what I am doing.
Hi! I'm having the same problem as Daniel, above. Why is there a queue if you can't add content to it?
