signing out and then signing back into Teams seems to be and answer to most issues with Teams. WHY??? This is a poor user experience. I have a difficult time convincing my leaders that we have chosen a tool that is stable, when this is the equivalent of 'did you reboot' being the first thing a help desk asks. Please fix this and other issues that need a sign out/sign in from Teams.

Signing out of Teams and clearing cache files, as suggested by Tasj in this thread, worked for me! Thanks.

The fix where you delete the cache (%AppData%\Roaming\Microsoft\Teams\Cache) does not work. I'm going on day 7 of having this issue and it is extremely frustrating as my employer is strongly encouraging us to use Teams to collaborate on projects while we are working remotely.

I have fixed the issue on several machines now by logging the user out of Teams and closing down the client, then deleting the cache (%AppData%\Roaming\Microsoft\Teams\Cache)" and then just starting Teams and logging in again.

I have tried everything and this error persists

I tried all the tricks - clearing cache, reinstalling programs. But what ended up working was resetting my Microsoft password back to my previous password. Our IT guys periodically want us to change our password for security and it had some type of conflict. Give it a try.

We can't just have everyone in our company uninstall teams and do all the steps. There needs to be a better fix on the MS side

Hello,
Which worked for me:
1. Close Teams completely
2. Uninstall Teams
3. Restart the PC
4. Delete the "%appdata%\Microsoft Teams" and "%appdata%\Microsoft\Teams" directories.
5. Restart again (you never know...)
6. Reinstall TeamsHave a nice evening!
