Presenter and Attendee roles for Meetings in Microsoft Teams .Meetings need to be sent out first.
Meeting organizers will now have an option to define roles for meeting attendees: presenter and attendee. Presenters will have full control over the meeting, whereas meeting attendees cannot share content, take control, mute or remove other participants, admit people waiting in the lobby, or start/stop recordings. However the meeting option only allows to select presenters if the invitations are sent out.Could it be fixed so that while creating the meeting itself user can select the presenters?
I agree. This ability is necessary.
This is a CRITICAL ISSUE for TEACHERS and Teams CLASSROOMS! Either add a feature for all 'OWNERS' of a Channel Meeting to share in 'ORGANIZER' abilities. Or make it available for Organizer to designate PRESENTER abilities to SPECIFIC OTHERS at point of originating the meeting and/or series of meetings. A Teams Classroom shared by several staff (in my case building administrators and school counselors sharing a Homeroom/Advisory) needs the option for the Organizer of the meeting (that person linked to the class per course code in Skyward ) to efficiently make the others ‘Presenters’ from within the ‘Meeting Options’ feature. Or at point of creating Meeting Invites. Or through some more convenient method as opposed to the current process requiring the Organizer to physically attend every class session in order to manually make others a Presenter at start of [every] class session. The purpose of several staff members sharing a class (Homeroom/Advisory) is to share the facilitation of the class on a rotation of different days/class meeting times.
It defeats the purpose for our staff if the single Organizer must attend every class meeting session only for momentary purpose of manually granting the others permission to be ‘presenter’.
The current set up is RIDICULOUS and completely INEFFICIENT for users.

We need this in channel meetings as we are using it for classes and students shouldnt be presenters.

I agree. Like Diego and Kannan said we also really need the ability to select specific presenters for channel meetings.
I agree with all the comments, specially with Kannan. All our online classes are channel meeting, and we can't select specific presenters. This is not useful.

Ideally you want default roles for different classes of user.
I can also see the need for three layers:
‘Supervisor’ (can present, and also control mutes/change roles of others)
‘Presenter’ (can present only)
The current ‘presenter’ role seems to be more what I would call ‘supervisor’. In a school, teachers would be the first role, students the last, and students who are presenting would be temporarily ‘promoted’.
We are having some reports of attendees bypassing things and becoming presenters to cause mischief.... yet to verify how
we need default settings to select members as attendee or presenter.
otherwise naughty students kick off the others or keep muting others.
till the time teacher make them attendee

Also currently the ability to select specific presenters isn't yet available for channel meetings. .Please add that feature as well.
