Apps like Planner not available in private channel
Planner app works perfectly fine in standard channels of a Team. However, in any private channel (members are subset of Team), adding a new tab does not give option to add Planner app. There are many instances when a sub-team will be working on a special project and corresponding private channel will need its own planner.
I also think this will be a nice thing to have. In the meantime, I use the Website tab and copy/paste the URL to the planner I need.
This doesn't work on the web version of Teams though (the page is not loading) but it works on a desktop install. I am pretty sure this has been raised as a bug somewhere.
I too need this. I also need an update on when this will be available.
I did see the following in documentation from December 13 (https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/MicrosoftTeams/private-channels#what-you-need-to-know-about-private-channels):
Currently, private channels support connectors and tabs (except Stream, Planner, and Forms). We're working on full apps support for private channels, including messaging extensions and bots.
I'm just looking for a bit more information regarding what that may mean. January? February? Q1? Q2?
Can any one from MS give me an estimate?

Second this. Would be nice to have a Planner tab in our private channels. The only other option would be to host the planner in the general channel which means everyone would then be able to see tasks intended for the private channel.
I'm assuming this fix is coming as private channels have only just rolled out. Maybe they just missed it.
