While screensharing using Teams, it often freezes the other programs such as Excel.

This happens several times a week for meetings we have in Teams. It is disappointing that Microsoft has not bothered to address it yet.

We have this issue too across many users in my organisation
I've found a couple of work arounds for applications such as Excel and PowerPoint freezing during a screen share session. One is to share the full desktop instead of just the application. The other, while sharing Excel or PowerPoint and it freezes, is to stop the screen share, minimise then maximise the application, then share it again. For some reason the application isn't actually frozen, just unresponsive and minimising it then maximising it brings it back to life.
At this stage sharing the desktop and not the app is the best workaround.
Ever since I uploaded Windows 10 (March end, 2020), my laptop freezes when I am on a Teams Meeting. Have uninstalled and reinstalled windows and teams multiple times. Helpdesk also couldn't figure out. I have more than 50% storage available on my laptop. I have to reboot multiple times - even then cant use Teams Meetings. I clean up temp files - found some instructions on MS forum. helps some days - others it does not. It is very frustrating. Hoping to get a new laptop. Hopefully - it will help.
We are seeing an issue where if an Excel file is shared when on a Teams meeting, after a few mins the Excel application with freeze and become unresponsive.
This can be if the file is stored on the user's computer or on the Teams channel
it freezes the actual Excel desktop app. no errors. have to crash out of excel to get it working again.
