I found a bug...

Periods get added to links when the URL is pasted and a period is typed.

When you copy/paste a URL into a chat and then type a "." to end the sentence, the period gets appended to the link.

For example, I typed the following into a message:

https://github.com/cristianbote/goober looks interesting. Might still need https://github.com/cristianbote/goober/issues/9.
----

I copied and pasted in the last URL and then typed a "." However, when other users click on that link, it takes them to "https://github.com/cristianbote/goober/issues/9." (with the period added at the end).

It would be helpful if it was smart enough to not include the period.
