Latest Teams update breaks Virtual Cameras - Microsoft Teams Version 1.3.00.18164
Mac OS Catalina 10.15.5 - Just prior to the update to 1.3.00.18164, Teams was able to utilize my OBS and Wirecast virtual cameras which I use all the time. Now Teams doesn't see them and yep, the permissions for screen recording, etc are all accounted for and I disabled and re-enabled the settings, as well as restarting the app(s), including Teams, etc. and the machine. Previously, I was able to choose the appropriate virtual camera. Now I only have access to the Mac's built-in webcam. Obviously, this is not ideal.
The version that did work for sure was 1.3.00.15561.
661 votesThank you for your reports on this. Microsoft is working to re-enable secure support for virtual camera apps on the Mac client. Until then, you can use the virtual camera in Teams in Chrome or Edge on your Mac.
We will update here and at the link below when there is more news: https://docs.microsoft.com/microsoftteams/troubleshoot/teams-on-mac/virtual-camera-doesnt-work-macos.

Pinned app wont stay pinned
I try to pin an app, but not long afterwards I see this:
"Your admin has updated your settings. Some of your pinned apps have moved."
Our IT wouldn't have changed these settings, so why is this the default?99 votes -
Extreme CPU usage of Teams for Mac when using video
Teams for Mac makes the computer almost unusable when using video conference. CPU goes to 100%, teams app slows down, Mac starts fan at max speed making even worse the experience of participating in a video conference (because of the noise).
A fix is URGENT and IMPORTANT, over any other feature.

invisible notification window mac
My teams client was updated to 1.3.00.28778 on 11/13/20. Prior to this update, I did not have the problem I describe below:
1) Launch Teams
2) Receive a message from a teammate prompting a notification
3) Switch to Teams
4) Read message
5) Select Window Menu
6) Observe that a window titled "Message Notification" still exists
7) "Bring All To Front" does not make a notification visible
8) No option exists to close this Message Notification windowOthers have complained about this problem - a quick search using Google for "invisible notification window" gets multiple hits.
The window is not…

Presenter view in Powerpoint shows others blank screen
It looks like it isn't possible to present to a team call with presenter notes, as they get a blank screen when that view is chosen. It is possible to use a normal presentation or to just share the window and step through the slides that way, but it isn't possible to get visibility of the presenter notes as part of a proper presentation. This was from a Macbook presenting to a Macbook from the desktop Teams application.

Teams for Mac looses focus when switching between spaces
If you
1. have multiple Spaces activated on a Mac,
2. move to a different Space than the one where Teams is located and
3. switch back to Teams suing Cmd+Tab,
Teams looses focus, i.e. the three circles in the upper left corner and the search field are both greyed out, you can not continue writing in the chat window and none of the keyboard shortcuts are working. You have to press in the Teams window using the mouse to get focus back. This does not happen when switching between Teams and other apps within the same Space. (However, if…34 votes -
macOS: teams video call freezes on notifications of teams (toast)
When I'm in a video call and a "popup" (toast) notification of teams is shown, for example because of a chat in a different channel or a notification of a new meeting starting, the video in the current call freezes for a while.
I'm on macOS Catalina (10.15.4)
You have Microsoft Teams Version 1.3.00.4460. It was last updated on 14/03/2020.30 votes -
cmd+tab doens't go to Teams application
With every other application on my computer (Mac) I can hit Cmd+Tab and navigate between apps using the app switcher, when I let go of cmd+tab that program becomes active and the desktop switches to the desktop with the application, teams has not been doing that recently although it had this behavior in the past.

Team macOS app not working
I've been using the Team macOS app for months now. Yesterday, out of a sudden it crashed and will not start up again. The app launches, but when it is trying to log in, this does not work (see screenshot).
I already tried to:
- restart mac
- clear some application data / caching things
- re-install teams app
It still is not working. I also attached the log file, maybe this helps.

Teams Notifications on OSX Notifications Screen Missing
Microsoft teams does not show up on Notifications settings window. All other MSFT tools like Outlook, OneNote, Excel, etc. show up. If a new . chat comes up, you need to be watching the icon vs. setting it up with a notification method (banners, alert etc.). This needs to be compliant with MacOS standards. Also, Teams app needs icons in Touchbar - most important one will be Mute/unmute button for calls. Thank you.

Version 1.2.00.13765 on macOS is using Discrete graphics continuously
"You have Microsoft Teams Version 1.2.00.13765. It was last updated on 6/3/19."
After this update, my MacBook Pro (15", 2017) is now continuously using the Radeon graphics system instead of falling back to Intel graphics to conserve power. This is obviously a massive hit to battery. Please investigate ASAP... I'll be happy to provide any logs needed if you can point me in the correct direction.
See attached PNG from gfxCardStatus (menubar applet) showing that Teams is the app to blame.

The Teams window randomly disappears.
The process keeps running, but the window is gone. Happens a couple times a week (Mac desktop client 1.2.00.17856).

Teams connecting sound controlled by play / pause button
I had an incoming Teams call. Using the play / pause keyboard button, I paused music from Pandora.com in Google Chrome and took the call. Afterwards, I pressed the button to resume music, but instead, it was controlling the Teams sound for incoming calls. I could pause and restarted the sound.
I don't know the exact conditions to reproduce this, but it was so strange I had to share it. Details about my configuration:
- Teams 1.3.00.28778
- Google Chrome, Version 86.0.4240.183 (Official Build) (x86_64)
- macOS 10.15.7 (19H15)
- Apple Magic Keyboard with Numeric Keypad

Camera/Mic should NEVER default to "on"
Camera defaults to "on" during when you are invited to unscheduled meetings. Cannot override this setting.
Need option to say "ask everytime" before turning on camera or mic regardless of how you are joined to a meeting.
