    • The Teams Meeting add-in causes a crash in Outlook 2016 when switching folders.

      The Teams Meeting add-in for Outlook causes a crash in Outlook 2016 when switching folders. When I remove the add-in Outlook works fine.

      This only happens on my 64-bit machine, not on my 32-bit machine, where I can use the Teams Meeting add-in without any problem.

        Workaround: I can get teams to work if I toggle the channel from Prod to SlimCore@SpaceTest10 and back to Prod. I have to do this each time I want to use Teams on this PC!?!?

        • Outlook crashes due to the Microsoft Teams Meeting add-in

          I've had a number of crashes in Outlook (Outlook version 1808) caused by the Teams add-in. The specific error from the Event log is:
          Error - Source Outlook - Event ID: 1000
          "Add-in execution error. Outlook crashed during the 'SelectionChange' callback of the 'ExplorerEvents_10' interface while calling into the 'Microsoft Teams Meeting Add-in for Microsoft Office' add-in. "

          I'm not sure what I am doing in Outlook (if anything) when this happens. It seems to just crash randomly, but I suspect I am doing something and just not paying attention. It happens at most about once a day on average,…

            • When chatting with multiple people, when I switch between chats Teams sometimes places me well above the last read line

              If I chat with 2 or more people, when I switch from one person to the other, it will often place the scroll bar well up above where the last read line is, so I have to scroll down. When I do, it often takes 5 or more seconds to load all the IMs I've already read as well as the new ones. I either see blank space or solid rectangles where the text should be until it actually loads.

              This makes it difficult to maintain good flow during multiple conversations.

                • Teams opens up at every start up

                  Teams opens up automatically every time I start up my computer. Removing it from the list of programs to run at every start up won't work since it will always add itself there again after the next start up and thus every time I use my laptop I have to wait for Teams to open and then close it before doing anything else. This is rather annoying since I only use Teams from time to time and it would be awesome to be able to use it just when I actually need it.

                  • The activity feed not updating in desk top

                    When I view the activity list on my iOS device, the unread items then do NOT show up on the desktop app. The only way I can see the new activities is to log into the Teams website version to see the activities that need attention. Once I click and view the activity in the feed, it then shows up in the desktop app, but any un-read activities don't show up in the desktop app until read in the browser setting.

                    • Private chat messages are sometimes not displayed on the client even though notifications arrive

                      We have seen this happen a couple of times in our organisation:

                      1) Teams desktop client is running
                      2) Somebody writes me a private chat message
                      3) I get a notification about the new message, and it's shown in the Activity tab, but not in the actual private chat

                      After restarting the client, the message is shown normally.

                      • After sharing my screen and give control to other user on my same tenant, cannot use the keyboard over a RDP session

                        I share my screen with someone on the same tenant, then I give remote control to the other one, the other person can open any application or else write on every applications, but if the local session that is sharing the screen perform a Remote Desktop Session, the person who has remote control, cannot use the keyboard.

                        Trying to explain I got the following example:

                        This works correctly:

                        Here the keyboard is not working, but the mouse is:

                        Seems that when the nested RDP is being performed the Keyboard is not passing…

                          I was prompted on tasks.microsoft.com that my password expires and to change it. I changed it. This caused Teams to require to sign back in with the new password. Upon clicking "Sign In" on the desktop app, the app closed, relaunched and told me again to sign back in with my new password. Clicking again "sign in" caused the app to close and restart back on the previous screen. I looped this about 15 times. Sign out from start menu did nothing. Teams app while the "sign back in" screen is shown is unusable. Had to reinstall.

                              • Pasting big text - Teams Hanging Forever !!!

                                *Steps to reproduce*
                                Copy a huge amount of HTML with Text
                                Paste it in a chat box
                                Note a message regarding "need to Shorten the message"
                                Place your cursor in the text box (Click in it)

                                Notice UI Hangs
                                Restart Teams - Notice the text field is still populated with the text
                                Still can't place my cursor in the bin to shorten it

                                Only solution is to move to the web app

                                  • Audio Devices missing, meeting goes to "Leaving..."

                                    I'm encountering a weird issue with teams. Whenever I attempt to join a meeting, the video and microphone toggle are disabled. When I join the meeting, I'm immediately met with a "Leaving..." message and am unable to continue without ending the program task.

                                    Under my settings tab, I see "None" as options for all audio and video devices.

                                    My devices definitely continue to work, as I am able to use the browser version of teams, Skype for Business, etc just fine.

                                    I've attempted a reinstall, as well as several reboots, without success.

                                    Are there any known workarounds to this issue?

                                      • yammer and teams msi installations fail when used during OSD deployment

                                        using both 64bit msi installations of yammer and teams on windows 10 1803 64bit. Upon login of a new user windows trys to kick off both installations and one of them (usually yammer) gets clobbered. the end result is teams does get installed (the prevent auto-launch install switch is not working) and yammer fails with a error message an log. the log suggests it couldn't access the squirrel directory to retrieve the update package. if you close the error>log off>log back on> the yammer installation completes.
