  1. Flashing Red Border

When screen sharing with Teams and using an external display, the red border around the shared window is flashing instead of being solid. A solid red border is okay, but the flashing red is very distracting. This is specifically when the external display is a ClickShare.

  2. Allow external users to access group chat

Why isn't it possible to add external users to group chat? It's a big step backwards comparing to Skype for Business and it makes life more difficult for companies working with various clients on a daily basis.

  3. Linux Client not working on gov domain

Trying to use the linux client to connect to teams on the gov network, but just stalls out. Log seems to indicate an invalid url.

    Steps:

    • Launch preview app.

    • Enter work account ([user]@[domain].com).

    • Enter password.

    • Window closes.

    • Splash screen opens with at "Loading Microsoft Teams" for about 30 seconds.

    • Teams window reopens saying "We've run into an issue" for about 10 seconds.

    • Asks to sign in again. Rinse and repeat.

  4. Teams.exe - Installation has failed Error Pop Up

This error message appeared after a user has logged back into the computer. It looks like Teams is trying to update itself but has failed to.

Temporary workarounds we have done is to remove Teams and download the latest update through the Teams website. But when Teams pushes another update, the same error message will appear.

Another workaround we did is go to C:\ProgramData\User\Microsoft\Teams and set the security permission of that folder so the user has full control. And then do a restart on the machine.

I wanted to ask if anyone has encountered this error and if there's hopefully a…

  5. Teams keeps ringing after I pick up a call on PC

My MS teams client on PC sometimes keeps ringing even after I have already picked up the call. I can talk on the call, but it seems as there is another call from the same user ringing or simply teams didn't acknowledge I picked up the call and keeps ringing.

I noticed this happens more often when I have my android tablet logged in as well to teams. I have at the moment a tablet, desk phone (yealink T56A) and android phone logged in as well as my PC desktop client.

  8. The Teams Meeting add-in causes a crash in Outlook 2016 when switching folders.

The Teams Meeting add-in for Outlook causes a crash in Outlook 2016 when switching folders. When I remove the add-in Outlook works fine.

This only happens on my 64-bit machine, not on my 32-bit machine, where I can use the Teams Meeting add-in without any problem.

  9. You should be able to open teams with run command

Almost all Office apps can be called using the run command in Windows ( windows key + R). Eg. you can use winword to open word; excel for excel, powerpnt for powerpnt.

However, I cannot figure out how to call teams in an efficient manner there. Since the executable is called Teams.exe, I supposed it should be just typing teams there to launch the program.

  10. Cannot keep Contacts Groups collapsed

In the Chat window, under the Contacts tab, there should be a way to keep all the contact groups collapsed. After collapsing all, as soon as I click on a different tab or different area, they all expand again.

  11. Poor Clipboard Capabilities - Cannot select all, copying to clipboard limited to very small amount of text

Using Teams Client - Cannot use CTRL+A to select entire chat message, very difficult to select text in general. Am able to select limited amounts of text by click and drag to select, but even then can only get about 1 screen worth, and if the window happens to scroll while trying to select, lose some of the selection and have to start all over...

This type of thing was the basic functionality of Windows in the past. Notepad supports copy/paste and it is about as simple as you can get. Please fix the basics.

  14. Linux Client only polls for audio devices on start up

When using the Teams Linux Client, the client only polls for audio devices on start up. If I connect my headset via bluetooth, I have to
restart the app. As an alternative, the client could just used the default device exposed my pulse audio.

    Client version: 1.3.00.5153 64bit
    OS: Fedora Linux 31

    Steps to reproduce:
    1) Start Teams
    2) Connect Bluetooth headset
    3) Go to Settings -> Devices

    Expected Behaviour:
User would see Device listed under speaker and/or microphone

    Actual Behaviour:
    Device is not seen

    Possible fixes:
    1) Poll Pulse audio for new devices when going to devices
    2) Use…

  15. Teams affecting Polycom CX300 functionality with Skype for Business

Currently following Microsoft's recommended upgrade path for SfB (on prem) to Teams. Have had both applications working side by side for months without affecting the functionality of the Polycom CX300 R2 with Skype for Business. Since mid-January the graphic display has stopped working on the Polycom CX300 and after investigation this is caused by Teams, CX300 will work as expected after exiting from Teams client. I understand the Polycom CX300 isn't compatible for Microsoft Teams and we are prepared for devices that may need to be replaced once Teams only but this is affecting current usage with Skype for Business…

  16. cpu usage after startup

the teams desktop client starts using 24% cpu (of quad core) a few minutes after startup if I dont open the app's window. I.e. when it launches automatically on startup in the background.
After opening teams from notification area, the cpu usage stops.

    technical:
I have created a stack trace using process explorer
the issue seems to be a loop somewhere in stackframe on line 8, as everithing below it was the same on multiple smapshots.
the last common frame after opening the window is on line 31.

  17. Authentication Issues when using Conditional Access

When using the Microsoft Teams thick client on Windows there is a client timing issue when using Conditional Access in certain use cases. For example, if the Teams client launches before the operating system has established connectivity to the network, connected to VPN, etc. it will get blocked from connecting based on one's Conditional Access criteria. Rather than retrying periodically in the background it just fails. This results in a really bad user experience and often people do not understand they need to relaunch the client or log back in for it to try again. The expected behavior would be…

  18. Teams Outlook Plugin creates meetings with wrong tenant information after tenant switch

I'm using Teams with different customer's tenants. Unfortunately, I'm not able to switch between the tenants directly (described possibility to click on the arrow next to my user’s image is not displayed), so I need to logout and sign into the different tenants manually.
If I do so, team's outlook plugin doesn't recognize the tenant change for a while and meantime creates meetings in outlook with the tenant ID of the tenant I've been logged in before or – worse – is mixing up the invitations between different calendars (in calendar A the meeting with tenant B credentials will be…

  19. Teams keep crashing

Literally Teams will crash 5 or 6 times a day. Hugely annoying and unproductive. The user experience and reliability is so poor I am surprised Microsoft has even allowed this to go out the door

  20. images display inline in chat but not viewer

Images that are posted in chat are not viewable in their original size within Teams. The viewer opens with a broken link to the image.
    Within Teams Windows App
    Reproduce:
    1. Take a screen shot and paste into the chat window.
    2. Click on the image in the chat window.
    3. The image does not display in viewer.

Breaks on Windows 10 Teams App
Microsoft Teams Version 1.2.00.17057 (64-bit). It was last updated on 7/1/19.
Worked before but don't know exactly when it stopped working.
This works in the Teams webapp.
