block calls between students but allow teachers to call students and students to call teachers within an allotted time of day
There is a feature to block students from calling but this disables them from calling the teacher. They need to be able to call the teacher as well as the teacher to call them. There also needs to be a guideline time in place so that students could not call teachers at 3am. So restricting calls between the hours of 8am-8pm for example. Not that the teacher is required to pick up all of those hours but the would prohibit the student from times outside of the window.382 votes
Currently, meetings are limited to 250 participants.
We have several departments within our organization containing 250-500 employees.
Because the current Teams meeting maximum size is 250, we use other applications to host meetings for these departments.
We would like to be able to use Teams for these larger group meetings.
Please increase the number of participants in meetings to 500.371 votes
The Teams meeting limit has increased to 300 participants (in the meeting call and the chat). We have plans to further increase the limit up to 1000. You can read more details here: https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoft-365/blog/2020/07/08/reimagining-virtual-collaboration-future-work-learning/

Almost all schools require the ability to download assignments and upload them to district-systems, print a batch of assignments, provide them to external audits etc.
The functionality is already there (navigate to the correct document library and then click 'download').
Simply add the UI option for a teacher to do this without knowledge of SharePoint libraries.
Surely this wouldn't require too much engineering to make it happen?368 votes
Great job guys.
I am currently marking an Economics essay in Teams Assignment Review, but I realized that I am not able to annotate students work with my Pen. Neither I am allowed to type text on the assignment. The only feedback that can be given is the feedback box on the right. Writing on students' work at the exact area that the feedback is relevant to is extremely important for us teachers, as students will be able to get clear feedback for improvement next time.365 votes
With Teams replacing Class Notebook, there is a focus to use this in Education. If Teams worked with LTI, it would allow Learning Management Systems such as Moodle and Canvas to assign users to a Team through direct single sign on. This creates a more seamless experience for students and decreases the amount of admin needed to get them in.
Further to this, each group inside an LMS could be given a separate team or private channel in Teams to Collaborate. This would be massively beneficial for Education.364 votes
Thanks to all of your feedback and thanks to our partners and their tireless efforts, we’ve made it possible for you to now set up a Microsoft Teams meeting for your online classroom directly from within your learning management system (LMS).
This new capability allows you to quickly enable remote learning for your students and faculty by bringing the power of Teams directly into your LMS. We already have integrations launched across the world’s top LMSs; Canvas, Blackboard, Brightspace, Schoology, and itsLearning!
Learn more about these new integrations and get started today here; https://educationblog.microsoft.com/en-us/2020/03/microsoft-teams-meeting-creation-now-available-in-canvas-blackboard-schoology-brightspace-and-itslearning/
The best part is this is only the beginning because as Teams evolves, we’ll continue to improve our LMS integrations as well. Thank you!
Add the possibility to add a editable PDF as ressource of a assignment AND o be able to edit a PDF file (editable pdf form) Now only MS documents such as Word, Excel etc. are editable by students. Editable PDF forms can't be changed by students. Words353 votes
Sustained sound gets cancelled out as a background sound. Extended ranges of our instruments also gets cancelled out. Music teachers need these sounds, so we need an option to disable the microphone's normal settings that are written to focus the on the speaking voice.326 votes
Increase the number of concurrent live events to more than 15 per tenant - required to enable large cohort remote teaching which is a massive priority for universities at the time of the Coronavirus worldwide incident.
Universities will often have more than 15 large lectures running at the same time and increasing the number of live events to 30 or 45 will allow universities and colleges to remotely teach large numbers concurrently326 votes
This feature request is being reviewed by the feature team. No new details to share at this time.
Meanwhile, feel free to share why you need this in schools and universities. And if increasing number of participants in a meeting (see another UV feedback below) would solve your need: https://microsoftteams.uservoice.com/forums/599053/suggestions/36681970

Unfortunately I need to switch this back to Under Review. The feature team is investigating how best this could be implemented.
I use Teams in two different organizations. In the apps, I have to log out and log in every time I want to switch. Is it possible to use two or more different accounts in the, like in Outlook?308 votes
Thank you everyone for the feedback. Please follow this item in our Public UserVoice forum for detailed updates: https://microsoftteams.uservoice.com/forums/555103/suggestions/17750851
Students need an alert telling them, or a direct link to graded assignments so they are prompted to read feedback given by a teacher. As it stands. Teachers can put feedback but students have no prompt to read that information or even know that an assignment has been graded.304 votes
Thank you all your feedback, but we have this today! When you click ‘Return’ on your student’s assignments, students will get notified directly in Teams in the Activity feed.
You can see this in action here: https://youtu.be/lKMyVPyudY0?t=94
The parent digest isn't enough for most of our parents, they want to be able to see the data on any day of the week.
The ability to log in (or have an app) and only see homework activities set every day (the ability, ie a tick box, to identify homework vs classwork activities would be ideal) to keep track of assignments is needed.
At the moment we have to use another app for this which doubles up on admin and means we are writing in one tool that the work is in Teams.291 votes
It would be absolutely awesome if you could incorporate the current OneDrive mobile app's function to markup PDF files stored in "files"280 votes
I want a button to do hard block on all video feeds from participants. The setting you have now can be overridden by participants. There is risk of them showing inappropriate body shots or material.261 votes
Under the assignment tab there should be a place where I can see all my assignments, and be able to filter between completed ones and outstanding assignments. The assignments should also be in chronological order. This would be very helpful, thanks.252 votes
Thanks for allowing resubmission. As a teacher I would like to be notified when a student submits an assignment after a scheduled deadline. This would help with knowing when students resubmit assignments after deadlines and when students have submitted work late.251 votes
Allow us to delete the numerous files listed in the share screen for general meeting (I'm not referring to chats).246 votes
I love the 'mute all' option, but working with young kids, it is sometimes difficult for them to find the unmute button. It would be helpful as a teacher to be able to unmute a student.242 votes
Please alphabetize students by LAST names as they enter to help with attendance. Thank you241 votes
According to current features, opening and closing times & dates can be set for an assignment. It is very useful that if we can set a timer to an assignment. As an example, if we make the assignment available for students from morning 6.00 am to evening 6.00 pm, But the time allocated for the students to complete the assessment is only one hour. so, When ever the students open the Assessment within the available time, a count down timer begins, and what ever they have done is saved automatically and submitted automatically at the end of one hour or if they have completed the assessment before the allocated time period, enable them to submit their assessment.
This method can be used when giving the same assessment for the students in different time zones, then it is not necessary for all the students to log into the system at the same time and doing the test.
