Upload Files Larger Than 50Mb
Our Music Tech class wants to use Assignments but we can't upload our videos as they all much larger than 50Mb. Most of our videos are at least 500Mb. Would it be possible to increase the maximum file size? Thanks :)
85 votesThanks for the feedback and support on this one. We definitely understand the need. The team is currently reviewing how we can increase the file upload size here.
As a workaround in the meantime, perhaps you can have students submit a link to the file stored on their personal OneDrive.

Share a file across multiple team
I have created several teams for my school (Yr 7 Maths, Yr 8 Maths, Yr 9 Maths) and while most of the time each team would be working specifically within that team, sometimes there may be a department file that we need to work on. Can I share the file between teams, and have the file constantly update and sync across all teams?
80 votesThe sharing of such files will need to be done via the O365 app (word, excel, etc) as it follows the logic defined by the Office app being used.
Here is a video which provides some guidance – https://support.office.com/en-us/article/Video-Share-documents-in-Office-365-1438f676-ee5c-40cb-a1f3-f814e649d2ea

Group Assignments
Sometimes I like to have my students turn in their assignment as a group, so I only read and grade one paper from a group of 3 or 4 students. It would be great if Teams Assignments could support that. So that either the students or the teacher (or best them both) can choose who this assignment is for/from.
Hope it makes sense?

Notification Enhancements
We have moved back to using Skype as the notification for Chat is not customizable. Staff that use Team for chatting, miss incoming messages, compared to Skype. I want to push the use of Team, but this factor renders the app useless.
63 votesThis feature is being worked upon and I hope to have more details to share in the coming months.

Integrate OneNote into Teams
Right now, when you "integrate" OneNote as a Tab in a channel it is just a web browser that opens a notebook in OneNote Online. Could you really integrate OneNote into Teams like you did with Planner?

It would be awesome if we could have a Microsoft Forms tab for Microsoft Team channels
Microsoft Forms for Microsoft Team channels would be incredibly handy!
61 votesThis already is supported!
You can see more details about Microsoft Forms on this blog – https://techcommunity.microsoft.com/t5/Microsoft-Forms-Blog/Microsoft-Forms-works-great-with-Microsoft-Teams/ba-p/109915Thank you for the feedback and suggestion.

Ability to remove the assignment tab
We would like to remove the Assignments Tab from Microsoft Teams so that our more gung ho users do not try and utilize this portion of the tool until it can be properly supported through IT and the departments that would be training end users. If the end user does not see it, they will not know it is even an option so there will be no need to field calls or questions.
60 votesIf you’re not planning on using the class functionality in Teams, O365 IT Admins can remove the Assignments app in the Teams Admin Center under Teams apps > ‘Permission policies’.
You can set a user policy (remove it for a set of users) or a global one that removes the Assignments app for everyone in your tenant.
Before you do this, make sure to double check if any faculty are using Assignments. We’ve seen Assignments be used in all sorts of ways successfully, even without students. You can always add back Assignments by removing the policy.

Assignment Feedback
It would be great if teachers could offer feedback to assignments without having to enter a grade. The assignments is locked from being able to resubmit. If students can get the feedback, make corrections, and then resubmit the assignment teachers would be able to use it better.
56 votesYou can add feedback to assignments at any time. Students can unsubmit, work on the assignment some more, and turn in their work again as long as the Assignment’s ‘Close date’ has not passed.

"Detect Fragments and Run-On Sentences" feature in Word 2016
Previous versions of Word detected fragments and run-on sentences, but Word 2016 does not. This is especially problematic because these are two of the most common writing errors students make; many students relied on this feature to improve their writing
Please vote to have this feature added to Word 2016.55 votesThank you for the feedback, however you have posted this Word request to the Microsoft Teams user feedback.
Feedback about Word should be posted on the Word user feedback page which can be found at: https://word.uservoice.com/forums/304924-word-for-windows-desktop-application

Manage Assignments - allow edit/delete
To be able to delete assignments, turn back with feedback to students an allow them to review and turn in again.
When you assign points to student's assignment, be able to modify and turn back the assignment to the student.

Add a member to an already set assignment
To use this as a school it really needs to have an option to add members to assignments after the assignment has been set. Currently if I have a new student added to the class then I have to delete the assignment and then send it out again.
52 votesWhen new students get added to a Class team, students will get all the assignments that have been assigned to the class.
Note: it may take several minutes for the assignments to distribute to the newly added student(s).

Submitting group assignment by students
In our school, we value very much, group collaboration for complex assignment, and we would LOVE, if groups of students could be able to submit their assignments as a group instead as individuals.

Create quick class polls in MS Teams
In the conversations area we need the ability to add a quick question for formative assessment purposes. The different types needed would be: multiple choice, text and ticktboox. The instant feedback to the teacher can be used to judge how the class, or individuals, are progressing with the lesson.
50 votesHi everyone, there is a really easy way to create an instant, real time poll in seconds by using the Forms bot. Students can now respond to the poll and you’ll see the result in real time.
Check out this awesome quick video showing you how to do it today! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HD8H0-RGh9k

Alert students of feedback when assignment is graded.
Students need an alert telling them, or a direct link to graded assignments so they are prompted to read feedback given by a teacher. As it stands. Teachers can put feedback but students have no prompt to read that information or even know that an assignment has been graded.

Show the time stamp when assignments are turned in even after "returning" the assignment.
It appears Teams was just updated to allow the teacher to "return" an assignment to a student either before or after grading. This is a great, and much needed feature. However, the timestamp showing when an assignment was originally turned in now disappears. So, if I have a student turn an assignment in late and then I return the assignment back to the student with their grade, I can no longer see the original turn in time or date. The reason this is a problem is because I have often used that timestamp to clear up disputes with students who…

It would be nice if it was posible to print directly from teams.

assignment tab
On the top tabs, I'd like the ability to change the order of the 4 tabs: conversations, files, class notebook, and assignments. I'd like students to see "Assignments" first instead of seeing all the mess of "Conversations" when they first click on our team.
