Revert Assignments Format – show all assignments across class teams
Keep the original teams assignment format where we would see all the assignments in one place for all classes. With this new format we have to enter into select classes to see assignments, making it very difficult and inconvenient. Please change back to the old format! It helps all of us stay organized by seeing all the assignments in one screen.

I am excited to announce that today we brought back the all-up assignments view for educators and students.

Upload Assignment Files Larger Than 50Mb
Our Music Tech class wants to use Assignments but we can't upload our videos as they all much larger than 50Mb. Most of our videos are at least 500Mb. Would it be possible to increase the maximum file size? Thanks :)
553 votesWe have now updated the upload limits to 500 MB for students. This change is now in production

Add ability for Parents/Gaurdians to view assignments, etc.
Can we get a parents' app to see when their child's teacher creates an assignment next please?
425 votesWe’re excited to announce that the Weekly guardian email digest is now available!
With this feature enabled, Teams will automatically send parents/guardians a weekly email summary of past and upcoming assignments.
How to get started:
1. Setup Parent and Guardian Sync on Microsoft School Data Sync (SDS) and bulk add all your guardian emails: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/schooldatasync/parent-contact-sync2. Then O365 Admins can enable the ‘Weekly guardian email digest’ setting inside the new Assignments settings in the Teams Admin Center. https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoftteams/expand-teams-across-your-org/assignments-in-teams
We can’t wait to hear your feedback.

Individual Student Assignments Overview
Both the student and the teacher need somewhere to view all the assignment that the student has submitted, together with grades and feedback. When grading, it is a crucial feature for the teacher to be able to get an overview on what the student has done, if assignments have been missed and how the assignments were graded.
333 votesGreat news, each of your class teams now has a Grades tab where you can view assignments at a glance as well as track how individual students in your class are progressing. Clicking on a student’s name in the Grades tab takes you to their individual progress.

Assignments list
can we have a list of all the assignments under the assignments tab? the week to view means students have to keep clicking right to see whats been set.
I don't want any excuses!

Copy assignments to multiple classes
There should be a way to copy an assignment from one team to another. If a teacher has more than one section of a particular class, they would have the same assignments for each class, so it would only make sense to create it once, then copy to all classes. If small changes needed to be made later, they can always go in and edit on an as needed basis.
303 votesThank you for your continued support. This feature should be available now.

Gradebook/markbook for classes
There should be a gradebook which automatically records results from assignments. A Gradebook is needed to show ALL the students grades for ALL the assignments. Something with weighting and totaling of selected assignments.
212 votesGreat news, the Grades tab is now available worldwide! Each of your class teams now has a Grades tab where you can view assignments at a glance as well as track how individual students in your class are progressing. Use the Grades tab to get an overview of your class, access data quickly, open, and return student work. Try it out today!

TurnItIn Integration
Please reach out to TurnItIn to develop an app that works with TurnItIn.
The 'assignments' functionality is fine for primary schools. Secondary schools need better integration with TurnItIn.
206 votesTurnitin is available in Microsoft Teams for built-in similarity checks on student assignments. This option streamlines the grading process, while reinforcing to students the importance of creating authentic work.
Note: A Turnitin license is required in order to use the integration with Assignments in Teams. If you have a Turnitin subscription, IT Admins can sign up to enable the integration.

See assignments of a student
see assignment by student
There needs to be a way to see the assignments by student. Click on a students name and see the assignments grades and which they have turned in and not. Unfortunately, i have to click each assignment and see my entire class and not individual students. This is a real hassle with the amount of late work i have to grade.170 votes -
If you click on Assignments that you get all of the assignments of all your classes, instead of having to click on every individual class.

156 votesThank you to everyone who wrote us comments and voted-up this request. We re-built the Assignments personal app to show all assignments in one list. Please do keep the feedback coming!

Different assessment grade/points formats
I have some course where assignments need to be recorded as Pass, Merit or Distinction (or fail!). It would be really helpful if we could customise the "grade" given to students as this isn't always a percentage or numerical score.
156 votesThis feature request has completed!
You can read more about it on the blog post – https://educationblog.microsoft.com/2018/08/back-to-school-microsoft-teams-new-features/

resubmit an assignment after scores have been posted
Right now, it seems like students can only see feedback on an assignment if the scores have been posted. But once the scores are posted students are not allowed to redo that assignment and resubmit the work based off of the teacher's feedback.
153 votesExcited to share we’ve shipped this today thanks to your feedback! https://techcommunity.microsoft.com/t5/Education-Blog/5-New-Assignments-and-Grading-features-in-Teams-for-Education/ba-p/191367

Assignments sent to multiple classes at once
In Classroom you could create an assignment and check each class that it would post to at once. In Teams you currently have to recreate that assignment for each class. We need to be able to create the assignment once and send it to multiple classes.
149 votesThank you for your continued feedback. You should now have access to this functionality

Integrate OneNote into assignments
I'd like to be able to distribute a page into OneNote as an assignment,. Students should be able to complete the work within OneNote and mark it as submitted within onenote. I can then mark it within OneNote adding the score (to a side panel or equivalent). It feels like this new teams is not encouraging digital inking which for me is one of the major benefits of using OneNote.
98 votesThanks for your feedback. This should be available today . Please check the blog here – https://educationblog.microsoft.com/2017/11/teams-office-365-education-updates-november/

Assign assignments to individuals or groups
Allow teachers to assign an assignment to a group of students, not the whole class.

Make Teams for Education fully functional on iPads
We cannot use Teams for Education on an iPad. There is a Teams app for iPads, but it does not have assignments included. The main browsers on an iPad (Safari, Chrome or Firefox) do not support Teams, so we cannot use the browser version as well. Many students use iPads that cannot upgrade to iOS 10, so please make any improvements compatible with iOS 9 iPads.
93 votesThank you for your feedback. We now have assignment on mobile and Tablet.

Preview Assignments as Student
It would be nice for teachers to be able to preview posted assignments as a student, just to ensure that the documents and such function for the students the way we intend.
87 votesThank you so much for all your feedback. We recently shipped ‘Student View’ which allows you to see what your students see.

Rubrics - Need ability to delete or edit
Need to be able to delete .a rubric from the list. If I make a mistake on a rubric I want to be able to delete it so I don't mistakenly use it again OR I need the ability to edit the version that shows up in the rubric list when assigning a rubric.
69 votesThanks everyone for the feedback. We completed this a while ago. Here’s how you can delete rubrics from your list – this will not remove the rubric from assignments where it’s already attached!

Allow students and teachers sending links for assignments
In the old MS Classroom students and teachers were able to send links such as external links, YouTube links, SWAY links or even FORMS links.
I'd appreciate having the same option in the new MS TEAMS assignments68 votesThanks for all the feedback. We recently launched a feature where teachers and students will be able to add links as part of assignments. Enjoy!
