Teacher "Dashboard" with reminders for assignments that need to be graded, especially with notifications if a student turns in an assignment
A Dashboard that shows teachers what needs to be graded. A "To Review" section that shows only assignments handed in late to make sure teachers are getting notified each time a student turns in an assignment.
Assignments should also be sorted based on what's completed and waiting to review, what's already been graded, and what is not turned in.
It's a big hassle not getting notifications each time a student turns something in, because there is no other way of knowing short of reminders from them.64 votes
Currently, you can only specify one OneNote page for an assignment. I often have multiple pages that students would need as part of a single assignment.64 votes
I used Classroom last school year and loved building assignments with this tool. There are many features found in Classroom that allowed teachers to build assignments easily and effectively that are not in TEAMS. Teachers need to be able to:
- Link Notebook pages to the assignment.
- Search for videos and resources to link to assignments from Teams like it was able to do so in Classroom.
- Share assignments with other Teams. To have to replicate assignments per Team for the courses taught is not practical.
This is partially done. :)
Item 1 and 3 exist.
I will follow up on number 2 and provide a status soon.
It would be awesome to be able to share the same assignment with multiple teams. As it is, I have to copy/paste my assignment multiple times - sometimes as many as twenty!61 votes
We’ve had this for a while! Here’s more info on how this works :) https://support.office.com/en-us/article/assign-work-to-multiple-classes-at-once-e7d4eb6d-f2d8-486f-b412-69789bd9d009
Currently, in the assignments tab, you must select a class to view assignments. However, if you are in many different teams, you may want to view assignments from all classes in one menu (with no additional clicks needed), so that you don't accidentally miss any.
Currently, in the assignments tab, you click on each class to view assignments
What I propose:
Add a slider, named "View all assignments", that when checked, shows all assignments that have not been completed on this one screen.58 votes
In addition to the week view, it would be awesome to also have the option to view by month.57 votes
On teams when an assignment is created it would be excellent if we could create a form on it. E.g. A set of maths questions that a pupil can answer and receive feedback and a score as soon as submitted - the form results could then be displayed within the review by owner section.56 votes
It would be very helpful if students were notified when they are given an assignment- or at least for there to be a notify students option.
Also, I need notifications when students turn in work to review in a centralized area. It is quite a hassle to click through each team and hunt for any turned in work. Until submitting assignments is more user-friendly, it is not practical to be used.54 votes
When writing in any of the feedback boxes of an assignment (the "main" feedback box, or any of the rubric feedback boxes) there is no spelling punctuation or grammar checking.53 votes
There are some assignments that happen on a recurring basis, daily/weekly/monthly for example I assign students to watch and respond to CNN10 everyday, writing in a journal everyday, etc.
It would be great to set up an assignment to post on a regular basis. Instead of having to make it "From existing" everyday.52 votes
Assignments: Students should be able to respond to a teacher's feedback.
When creating an assignment it should be able to "check/uncheck" student responds to feedback.
Just like you can check/uncheck "late hand-in".52 votes
Be better than Google Classroom by...
- Allowing teacher to ink while grading assignments.
- Connecting Teams to LMS so assignments and grades entered in Teams automatically gets entered in the school district's LMS.
Teams needs to get better before teachers will leave Google Classroom. If Microsoft can get the above items done, it would leapfrog passed Google.
C'mon, we are waiting.52 votes
With some assignments, teachers would like to print off student work. However, the steps are very cumbersome. For example, with Word documents, the teacher needs to open each document in the Word (Client) and print the document from there. In Microsoft Classroom, there were less steps to print. If there was an option where a teacher could print off an entire class' assignment from within a single screen, that would be very beneficial.52 votes
At the moment, camera scanning only allows users to send documents to channels or to chats. There should also be a feature allowing assignments to be handed in using the camera scanning51 votes
make the assignments tab more like a to-do list
show all assignments at at glance51 votes
In Classroom there was a button when reviewing the students work to return the assignment back to the student if it was not correct. Then the student could resubmit the correct assignment/attachment. Can Teams please have that function? Also, can the feedback that is given on an assignment be visible to the student even if there assignment has not been reviewed/graded yet.51 votes
We now have tags within a team - let us assign an assignment to just a tag rather than selecting names manually!50 votes
It would be better if the students can also grade themself with the rubric option so that the teacher can compare his rubric with the one from the student. Hope this would be possible soon.50 votes
When I give a student feedback on an assignment in Microsoft Teams, I can leave them a private comment. However, the student cannot reply. I would students to have this option both before and after they submit the assignment. That would allow students to ask questions about their work.50 votes
Similar to Seesaw, students should be able to respond to an assignment via video, directly into the assignment. This would be without having to use an app or the additional step of including a link or uploading to the assignment.49 votes
