Allow meeting chat to be turned on/ off in channel meetings
Whilst you have now released a way of turning off chat in non-channel meetings, there needs to be the same interface for channel meetings that affect only that specific meeting, not the whole channel.

Please add to channel meetings - that is where most of the teacher/student meetings are held.

Please allow chats to be limited and cut off as needed in the channel. Have this only in a calendar meeting is useless in a classroom team where meetings are held within the Team Tile.

Worth noting that for live lessons if you choose to use private meetings instead of channel meetings, you won’t get lesson attendance via insights, you will have to turn off site-wide guest access to prevent anonymous guests getting into your lessons, you won’t have ability to delete chat messages, your recording won’t go into a team’s files, and so on. Surely with so many features setup to promote channel meetings (and given the name of the platform is in fact teams!), you should be able to do this in a channel meeting. Here are some more pros/ cons if interested.
