Expanded Insights for Across All Teams
Insights is great at Team level for teachers, but not so good for Middle or Senior Leaders to view trends across year groups/ subjects etc.
I would like to see a version of Insights (or some alternative analytics option) that allows specific colleagues to view this data across multiple Teams. Perhaps even a linked Power BI file that draws on that data for the tenancy.
This is coming soon – thank you for your feedback.

Our students have been added as guest to our teams (local admin did not issue student emails tho teachers have Edu accounts). Would we be able to benefit from Insight?
The summary csv file needs to have more details about meeting attendance, similar to the summary tab on assignments. I need to be able to see how many meetings have been scheduled, how many pupils attended each one and how long they stayed eg % duration (some pupils log in and out straight away from the meeting but this still registers on the summary export as V).
The new overview from the left hand menu is great but it would be better if you could then export this overview data for all classes (or even better selected classes) to produce a departmental / year group summary

This is absolutely critical - the enhancements to Insights so that a teacher can quickly navigate through the insights across their classes is great, but at the moment if I want to see how a student is engaging with remote learning across all their classes I cannot do that without having to approach each of their individual teachers and asking them to extract data from Insights. As a school leader, I then have to amalgamate that information manually. We get these requests all the time and need to be able to see a student set of insights across their classes to help identify and support students who are struggling with remote learning.

Thank you so much for your feedback.
his fall we will release an overview of all your classes that will be available from the left navigation menu, so educators will not be required to add the app to each class and will be able to add once to all classes.
We’re also adding capabilities to Insights to help educational leaders better understand the online activities and achievements of students. Within the Insights app in Teams, we’ll provide detailed visibility into digital learning activities so that leaders are better equipped to support educators and students.
