Push-To-Talk feature, so as to not repeatedly press the mic button
Thank you for your feedback. This feature is under development and is planned for later this year. We will share an update as soon as one is available.
In the meantime, you can try using the keyboard shortcut to toggle mute (Ctrl+Shift+M). For more information on keyboard shortcuts, please visit https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/office/keyboard-shortcuts-for-microsoft-teams-2e8e2a70-e8d8-4a19-949b-4c36dd5292d2.

having used discord for a long time it is hard to do any speaking without push to talk. living without push to talk makes me anxious that I'll blurt something stupid out and think that no one will hear because I wasn't holding the key only to find out that everyone heard. it would also be helpful if you could bind the push to talk button to any key

For meetings and live videos Add a "Push to Talk" option that, by default, mutes microphones, but will allow us to speak if we press and hold a certain button.

I use push to talk so much that I often make my push to talk button (it's a side mouse button) unresponsive. Not having this feature is pretty significant, especially when you make large group calls and might cause some annoying echo.

Yes, the above statement is true it makes the application easier to use rather than always unmuting and muting. This will be a great feature
Need this feature, it was the first thing I looked for once I had it installed.

Please add this! It is very basic tool. It would be so useful, especially for those of us parents that struggle to keep our little ones quiet during large meetings.
Yes please! I was looking for a comment that suggested this feature.

Add a "Push to Talk" option (as seen with Discord and Curse) that allows our mics to be muted by default, but will allow us to speak if we press and hold a certain button (like right Ctrl).
It makes group chatting a lot easier since we only need to hold down a button instead of having to click and reclick on the microphone button over and over again.
