Turn off camera self-view, while allowing participants to still see your camera view.
Currently, there is no option to turn off your self-view, while keeping your video on for others. This creates a distraction, as participants self-monitor throughout the meeting, creating a additional layer of stress and distraction. Zoom and other platforms have a similar feature - is it possible to have the option to turn off the self view of your own camera?

Yes! PLEASE add this feature, Microsoft! This issue is the number one reason students will not put their cameras on, and it is adding to their disengagement.
It would also be great if it was possible to move and even dock this "own camera view" in different positions. This would allow for multi-screen scenarios.
Let's consolidate our requests by gather more votes on below:
It is bizarre to read there is no way of turning this self view off as I am not able to see myself at all what can be very annoying too

It is incredibly distracting for students to be able to see themselves. I teach middle school and they are self-conscious enough without having to look at a webcam picture of themselves all day during digital schooling.
We have students with special needs who can't pay attention to the speaker when they see the self-view-- it becomes a huge distraction and fascination but the teacher needs to be able to see them so camera needs to be turned on.

Distracting and takes the focus away from the conversation.
For students who have learning support needs related to body image (for example eating disorder) it can be very difficult for them to focus on content when distracted by a video of themselves - currently we suggest they put a bit of paper over that bit of the the screen - but as highlighted zoom lets you disable this function

Agree it would be useful to give the user choice on what is displayed, and also increase the number of participants showing. Please don't remove self-view completely though, just make it an option to switch on or off.
