Change "Rename Team" function to "Add Friendly name" function for class Teams
As a college, we have defined course code names. They are essential to the operation of our MIS systems and likely to have impact on the way teams are created in the future.
Admins and IT systems require naming conventions to ensure the tools work and that courses are unique / can support multiple cohorts; teachers and students require easy to recognise names. The two cannot be achieved with the single name field.
Could School Data Sync name a team according to the course code (as it does now) but also allow for a "Friendly name for the team?
For instance "environmental studies 101" is useful for the student, but it that Environment 101 for 2019 or 2020? How do you know which year it relates to? Think 2 or 3 year courses.
Ok, so we add the date into our team name, great. but what about Cohort? How does your MIS team know this is the Monday group for 2020 or the Thursday Group?
A simple solution would be to add a "Friendly Name" or "Display Name" field, which would be shown on the Teams dashboard, and alongside the Team name wherever it appears. It should also be searchable.

Great suggestion as this will keep name integrity while still allowing for a "human" name
