Pin Posts in Channel
Enable posts to be pinned within a channel, so that the pinned post is the first one seen when a member goes to that channel.
Thank you for your feedback, the feature team is currently working on introducing pinning posts and replies in channels. We will share an update as soon as one is available.
You can also follow this ask in our public forum, https://microsoftteams.uservoice.com/forums/555103/suggestions/16911532.
MS - you really missed the point of why people want to pin posts with the way you've implemented this. Hiding them in a hard to see info panel is basically useless. So useless, you needn't have bothered implementing the feature at all really :(
Can you update this so that pinned posts are actually pinned at the top of the channel the post has been pinned to? (and, you know, if feeling particularly generous, offer the user the ability to cross-pin to other channels too)

Will this act like a Freeze row in excel? So that the pinned post stays visible and everything scrolls under it?
I second Darren
-We really need a little short-cut button that opens the "Pinned posts" pane (specific view) with one click
-The button would only appear (or become clickable (non-grayed out)) when the pinned-posts list is populated.
👏Thanks for your work so far.
Can we have a dedicated pin button to, in the area where the channel info button is. It looks like we are getting this feature in our tenant, but right now pinned messages appear under the channel info button, which doesn't seem like an obvious spot.

This would be a life saver in Classroom Teams. Being able to keep important information up where young children can see it every time the log in, would be very helpful.

Yes please! My welcome message quickly disappears as soon as students start posting on the channel.
This would be helpful so you can explain rules for posting so you don't end up with a lot of posts that should have been chats or emails.
Was looking for this feature but did not find it. Soon, hopefully!

Having a pane on the right of the desktop/web client to show those pinned posts/conversations would be a great asset.
a) a text, with instructions or rules
on that pane would be also a great feature.
