Pin Posts in Channel
Enable posts to be pinned within a channel, so that the pinned post is the first one seen when a member goes to that channel.

Thank you for your feedback, the feature team is currently working on introducing pinning posts and replies in channels. We will share an update as soon as one is available.
You can also follow this ask in our public forum, https://microsoftteams.uservoice.com/forums/555103/suggestions/16911532.

Will this act like a Freeze row in excel? So that the pinned post stays visible and everything scrolls under it?

I second Darren
-We really need a little short-cut button that opens the "Pinned posts" pane (specific view) with one click
-The button would only appear (or become clickable (non-grayed out)) when the pinned-posts list is populated.
👏Thanks for your work so far. -

Can we have a dedicated pin button to, in the area where the channel info button is. It looks like we are getting this feature in our tenant, but right now pinned messages appear under the channel info button, which doesn't seem like an obvious spot.

This would be a life saver in Classroom Teams. Being able to keep important information up where young children can see it every time the log in, would be very helpful.

Yes please! My welcome message quickly disappears as soon as students start posting on the channel.

This would be helpful so you can explain rules for posting so you don't end up with a lot of posts that should have been chats or emails.

Having a pane on the right of the desktop/web client to show those pinned posts/conversations would be a great asset.
furthermore pinning
a) a text, with instructions or rules
b) fileson that pane would be also a great feature.
