Add a global admin setting for the default role of meeting attendee
If you want to make meeting attendees Participants by default (so that they can't present, mute you and remove from a meeting), then you have to manually change meeting options of a particular meeting and set "Who can present?". Today this option can't be set globally by default in Teams admin center. Please add this feature.
Thank you for your feedback. We’re happy to announce the ability for admins to change the default value of ‘Who can present?’ in Meeting Options in the Teams client via the new parameter, DesignatedPresenterRoleMode.

Why isn't "ONLY ME" as a presenter the default. How often would teachers want to it otherwise.
please fix this obvious fault
Absolutely needed! Thank you for taking this into consideration.

Since everyone doesn't have the same technology experience, faculty doesn't set the roles prior to the meeting, as well as it is not practical to change the roles for too many students during the meeting.
While students joins to the meeting, they can mute others and the organizer, and can even remove them!
Please make the policy available in the admin center to be controlled. thanks
Students keep muting and removing colleagues during a live meeting. Is there a way to stop this and allow only the teacher control?
I waste about 5 minutes of every lesson laboriously changing this for my 30 students. It should always have defaulted to "Attendee" for a class...

Please add this! We need to be able to set this as default, users are not happy that they need to this for each and every meeting.

Would be tremendously helpfull - hope this feature is available soon
It will be great. Today, every time we schedule a new one meeting we need to change roles of attendance .

This would make a great difference as I am facing student attempts to do this very thing.
All my teachers are getting muted - Zoom has it as default.
This makes teams utterly useless in school environment!

Yes - this needs to be changed and pushed out ASAP. I am currently supervising a room of Yr 8 boys who are supposed to be in a Team meeting with a teacher off site right now and the room is in an uproar as they are playing the game of 'muting the teacher' and 'kicking each other out of the meeting'. Even the biggest rat bag in here is finding this incredibly frustrating as they actually want to hear the teacher.

Es nervt, wenn Schülerinnen und Schüler die Lehrperson oder andere stumm schalten können. Die Schülerinnen und Schüler jedes mal auf "Teilnehmer" zu schalten, ist aufwendig.

Is this part of the April 30 Teams update rollout?
I totally agree and would love to have an update as proposed!

PLEASE PUSH THIS UPDATE! Adding a meeting to a Microsoft Booking for 500 people, its insane i have to right click on every person to set as an attendee.
SfB had this option, how does Teams not?
Bizarre that is was ever everyone can present - surely even in Business it is better to start with Only Me and add anyone else you want to present with you?
