Prevent attendees inviting users within an in progress meeting
Currently, attendees are able to use the participants pane in an ongoing meeting to invite users to the meeting. In an education setting, this means disruptive/cheeky students are able to abuse the invite option to call anybody within the school.. There's absolutely no reason in an educational setting for students to be able to invite anybody they like to a live lesson (meeting) - we make them attendees for a reason!

There are two methods to block students from inviting users to an ongoing meeting: 1) Disable Call Me and 2) Ensure all students are attendees.
Admins: This feature is controlled at the organizer level. To prevent students from using this feature in class meetings, turn this Audio Conferencing setting off for educators organizing class meetings: Dial-out from meetings: Off
Educators: Set Who can present to Only me to ensure that your students and other participants join as meeting attendees.

Agree can we lock or remove this function, as a matter of importance, as it is very disrupting for the teachers, currently the issue renders the teams product, not fit for purpose in this environment

It is un-acceptable in my opinion for the control of participants to be anything other than in the teachers hands. Giving the ability to Students to add people as and when they like to the lesson just isn't the way to do things. It is another button for them to press, therefore another distraction away from what they should be learning.

Given the current situation with COVID 19 since Schools have had to conduct lessons remotely it's a shame that teachers don't have the ability to achieve this. This means that currently this is somewhat of a safeguarding issue. This should be addressed please Microsoft.

Also the use of Whiteboard. would love to have the ability for the presenter to disable and enable access for attendees to access the whiteboard.

This is a high priority for us as a school as well! Our teachers are really loving the user of teams as a virtual learning tool, but we need more control to secure student's access. Would love the ability to make all students attendees by default with no ability to invite others. Thank you for your consideration!

Regarding the mute all option, this issue can be solved by making students attendees. You just go to meeting details after scheduling it then you click on meeting options. A page will open. In the section who can present, choose only me.

Hi,
in a school environment, this could make the teacher's task (specially the newbie) easier during the meeting.
Thank U -

Should be possible. Also mute all, mute/ unmute partisipant function should be kept only for meeting owner.

Absolutely agree with that. On our 28 schools we have problems students doing this and because of te Corona virus they are all at home, order in the class is a problem now. We hope that Microsoft will change this, so we can really work with Teams in a way we want with our students.
