Download attendance list in a Teams meeting
Download an attendance list from a Teams meeting
Thank you for the feedback and waiting for this feature with patience. We have enabled download of a meeting attendance list during a meeting. This is released for general availability. Please note this feature is turned off by default, and needs to be enabled via admin policy.
See documentation for this feature here: https://support.office.com/article/download-attendance-reports-in-teams-ae7cf170-530c-47d3-84c1-3aedac74d310
Note: We are continuing to work on enabling download after a meeting has concluded, as well.
In best case, I'd like to have a list with all the participants and the time they were participating (of course only during the time of the meeting, so they can't manipulate their time by "joining the meeting" before or after the original time). It would be nice if the list would be sorted alphabetically.
So in my imagination it would look like this:
Kermit the frog 43 minutes
Miss Piggy 12 minutes
Would it be possible to disable this feature? I got some question from workers council in Germany Thanks Petra
This would be good - it is about tracking engagement - especially as we have some at school and some at home.
At the moment I am doing this manually and then getting the list of students who are at school on the day.
Hi, I work in a learning & development team and would really like to have this feature added in order for us to correctly mark attendance and update individuals training records.
We have found a workaround for now using Forms. (an app within Teams).
You need to create a template eg. 'please click here to register attendance' Q. Attendance / Answer option - Yes I am here (see screenshot attached). We then copy and paste the link into the meeting chat and ask participants to submit their attendance. This will then pull through into an excel spreadsheet which the host can access after the call (email address, name and date/time they marked themselves as attended).
I'm of the understanding that names/email will only pull through for staff not external people joining a call.
Hope that helps
Forgot to add - this link is only available to those that join the call and can see the meeting chat.

Participants names and email addresses.
Time they first joined the meeting (if multiple entries happened) would also be necessary.
At present, we require pupils to fill a form via a link to indicate attendance. Some forget, some others who didn't attend may also see it and fill.

I need the list of attendance. The logging of attendance will create a digital signage in the logs, else specially in current COVID 19 emergency times, taking sheet attendance is not possible.
Also, the timeline for which a person was connected, disconnected and reconnected, in a particular meeting, also will give a correct picture of attendance.
Skype for Business had this feature for logs to be saved in MS Outlook "Conversation history" folder.
Request you to kindly create a similar logic.
I just need a list of the students to download.
Otherwise it's exremely time consuming keeping track of everyone
It would be great if we can export the list of those who attend session, award credits for learning, follow up with post-session activities. It would also be great to get some engagement statistics, such who asked what percentage of questions, attempted polls..
This feature should work like the One Note 2016 feature that automatically takes attendance for Skype for Business Online Meetings

Possibility to track leaving time from meeting to see how active people end meeting.

It will be very useful as an Educator, we can know which student(s) has/have missed out the class via E-Learning. We can followed up with them via Recorded to MS Stream.
Please please MS Team Developer, it's not only great as a record for Grading, such also assist minutes taker during Office Meeting to identify who did not managed to attend.
+1 from a million users using MS TEAM!
In the design teaching college I'm working for we are using various 'touchpoints' - interactions with students to gett a a composite indication of their engagement through a lesson. We'd appreciate being able to integrate these into a composite indication of attendance within teams.
(eg: screenshot of activity, gif of how they're feeling about thee class or an assignment, vocal participatoin etc: some would still have to be manually entered by a tutor but thers might wel be harvessted from student activity)./
gentle reminder (1) for the attendance recording tool in MS teams.

This would be a great addition, however the planned change only logs from when the organiser [Teacher] enters the room. Unfortunately students may enter first and wont be listed.
I know you are working on not allow students to join before the teacher arrives so that may also fix the issue when this feature is available.

We use Moodle with the attendance plugin to track attendance, would be nice if Teams can transfer the Attendance to moodle or via export import.
we really need it, given the heavy reliance on online learning during this challenging Covid 19 situation

I think this is a great feature that all teachers need.
For the time being, we have been posting Quick Polls from Teams as "Virtual Attendance". But it would be GREAT if there is an actual feature to get students' attendance without posting quick polls at X time everyday.
A few suggestions for this feature:
There should be a "repeat" option, just like Meetings; so that it will automatically pop up
Teachers should be able to set the start and end time to check in (eg; 8:00 AM - 12:00 PM), and pick the days (shouldn't only be Mon-Fri, coz other schools or tuition schools have different school days all over the world).
An option to mark student as LATE, if the student checks in after X time.
An option for students to jot down their excuse for being late, or if they couldn't join the online class.
Thank you for hearing us out, Microsoft. It is very much appreciated. I know there are a lot of demands right now, especially with this pandemic going on. But I hope this feature will be added soon, as it is extremely USEFUL to keep track of our students.

Could this functionality be integrated into Insights? Seems like a natural fit.
