"Wait in lobby" for student (participants) in scheduled meetings
In order to use scheduled meetings for teaching is necessary that the meeting organizer can force student to "wait in lobby" if they try to enter the meeting before the teacher.
In my case, students are part of the organization, they are not guests. For this reason, this functionality for my school is not possible.
The possibility to force participants (even if part of the organization) in the lobby is necessary, because otherwise students could use the scheduled meeting to enter by their own and talk privately without the teacher.
We are happy to announce the “Only me” option for “Who can bypass lobby?” setting is now available for Teams meetings. Details on the new lobby option can be found here, https://support.microsoft.com/office/change-participant-settings-for-a-teams-meeting-53261366-dbd5-45f9-aae9-a70e6354f88e.

This is a high priority for our K-12 schools as well. Thank you for your consideration!
I'd also like to see this feature added for real and mock interview training. When hosting back to back interview training sessions it would be easier if the interviewers could stay in one meeting and only allow the next interviewer to enter when they are ready. This would help with privacy and would prevent the next interviewee from having to wait in a meeting alone for the interviewers to arrive.

Please arrange technical in Teams that participants of the same organization (pupil/students) are able to wait in the lobby before meeting .
A policy setting would work for us.

Also, I had a student come into a meeting when it was over which presents the same problem. Thank you folks for helping out. I used to be a programmer so I can only imagine how slammed you are.

This is EXTREMELY IMPORTANT!! Students are currently able to start a scheduled meeting and enter the meeting when the host is not there. While this can present many issues when using Teams in Primary and Secondary schools, this is a problem that is pushing many teachers more to want the ability to use Zoom than MS Teams.

This feature needs to be added ASAP for LAUSD. As teachers, we have been directed to not be in a meeting with only one student. LAUSD is currently directing us to Zoom because it has a lobby feature. But, Teams is a better solution to build collaborative environments going forward. The second largest closed school district in the nation is using Zoom verses Microsoft Teams...Get it together Microsoft...

I think if they do an option for "No one" can bypass the option might be an easier solution than trying to program it for certain groups. Other companies have the option that everyone has to go to the lobby. The option can be added in the Meeting options of the meeting.

I'll repeat my comment from this uservoice-subject: https://microsoftteams.uservoice.com/forums/555103-public/suggestions/38309602--no-one-choice-in-the-lobby

This options will be very usefull also to disable the students to re-join the meeting after its end.
Actually a student can rejoin a meeting without teacher supervision.
Sure we can "delete" the meeting but in this way we lost everything (including chat)

We need this outside of education, as well! We often run into "OMG who forwarded this invite to you!" scenarios. Adding a lobby option where all attendees have to wait for an organizer to admit them would replace this lost Skype functionality.
Extent the meeting options with this one and we are more in control.

THIS IS VERY IMPORTANT if we shall use this for Exams at the university

Practical for exam settings where you only want one student to enter at the time.
OR force all mute for voice/video/chat
in order to help manage more formal meetings, having the ability to restrict when invitees who may only be attending for a single agenda item (even when internal to the organisation), can enter the meeting by sitting in the lobby would be very useful.
currently no option to put all members of a meeting into the lobby.
