Raise Hands in Team
The teachers in Hong Kong have been using Teams and OneNote to teach virtually at home during class suspension since early February. It’d be very useful if students are allowed to raise hands to ask a Q during meetings. So, teachers can be alerted and can provide instant feedback to individual students instead of being disrupted or not being aware of individual needs. Thank you very much!

We are happy to announce the general availability of this feature for Windows, Mac & Mobile devices.

Please include this feature in Teams for Education as well. Needed badly for students to ask questions to teachers without interrupting the class.

It is a need-to-have feature as well to se an ordered list of people with raised hands based on when they raised their hand. Otherwise it is difficult to control a speaker list

Please make it a feature where the organiser can mute all attendees- and unmuting is also permitted ONLY by the organiser.
Many students unmute their mics and this leads to lot of background noise.
The students can be unmuted by the organiser on "raising hands" -

Would be nice to have them ordered in time (first student to raise hand on top of the list when many students use the feature at once).

It would be interesting to incorporate in this functionality a control by subject to know who raises his hand and who does not, who speaks.
So they are not always the same people in class -

Hand raiser's name should be displayed and easily seen so they can be called upon properly.

The hand raise feature needs to be available on the web version of Teams and not just the desktop version. A lot of my students have Chromebooks so they cannot download the full version. The hand raise feature is a great idea, but if it is only available on the desktop it is really not hitting the mark.

It would also be great to have a random way to pick a student to answer

Recommend making this feature available across *all* forms of meeting, and that it be an always-visible indictor in the meeting toolbar, alongside "Show conversation". It should also be very noticeable, more so than the new message indicator is on the "Show conversation" button. Thank you for taking this concern seriously; features like this give meeting organizers more options for moderating discussion.

Hand raise feature within the teams virtual meeting.
Can you please add the hand raise component? It would make managing large meetings simpler. While in large Team meetings people interrupt and talk over one another. People fill like they have to jump in when someone takes a breathe so they can get a chance to speak.
This feature would allow the facilitator the opportunity to call on who speaks next or if the hand raise feature is numbered in sequence by who raised their hand 1st this would allow for us to establish order. This would make collaboration easier to follow and people will have a fair chance to speak. In meetings of more than 4 people this has been problematic. The largest meeting I have been in yet on teams has been 70+ people. Speaking is extremely chaotic as it stands.
Ive seen similar features in blackboard's online platform. The idea I am sharing is a little more advance and more functional to meet the greater needs of teachers and professionals.
Thank you for listening.

This would be beneficial for meetings. When we have large meetings people tend to talk over 1 another.

Please consider these features as well;
1-Remove ‘unmute’ ability from students so that they cannot unmute themselves whenever they want.
2- Students’ mic should be muted by default when they enter the meeting
3-Students should not be able to start scheduled meeting.
4- Students in channels shouldn’t be able to mute/kick out teachers from meeting. (There is a setting about kick-out, but it should be easy to set it)
Thanks!

We have the same scenario in our school, Christian Liberty Academy!
This is a much needed feature to improve the overall learning experience and quality.

We are having issues with students unmuting themselves and speaking whenever. This would be very handy to give the teacher some control of their classroom.

Raising hands during class would be awesome. Zoom does that already. Also adding filters so teachers can mess with students would be cool too.
