This would be an added value for the usage of Teams. You can then rely on teams to work in more complex team environments. Ex. Global kick-off meeting for all team members, followed by privately held channel meetings. Managers of the team could then easily join the channel of their choice. It would avoid sending out 'spam' of invitations

Is there any update on this? It seems like a very logical feature. Not sure why you would not have the ability to schedule meetings in all channel types. We have had to create very annoying "work arounds" because of this limitation.

Gordon, come on. Why should a private channel be treated any differently? We need our meetings and comments to be posted and retained in the channel for our weekly calls. Many thanks.

I want to be able to schedule meetings in private channel. We have to create separate channels for boys and girls for conducting exam. If in a group number of students is more than adding one-one student name becomes time consuming.
