This is definitely needed

Not only schedule meetings but also record videos of the meetings and save them for review
YES add this feature! We need the ability to schedule a meeting in a Private Channel. Now I have to send a meeting invite and tell the recipients that I will initiate the meeting at the meeting time with Meet Now. After all of our training on getting people to create Teams meetings and click the link in the email to join, that all falls apart in a Private Channel!
ALSO, please add the ability to POLL in a Channel Chat?
Unbelievable TBH. In what organisation is it acceptable for everyone to be able to review every saved meeting? If we have an executive meeting and record it to simplify capturing of actions apparently it is expected that everyone in the organisation should be able to see the recorded meeting.... This and the inability to delete channel posts make me feel that MS Teams is not really for a serious business.
Please add this much needed functionality. Thank you.

Please add this ability!
This feature is much needed to simplify the process to set a meeting on the fly and very much better if there is a button in the private channel to group call, instead of adding people from chat. I mean I already grouping several people in a channel, why must I add people in the chat menu or call menu to make a group call for certain channel? It doesn't make any sense.
Kindly update the feature.
Please add this feature. No point in a private channel you cannot do anything with.
Please, please add this feature to hidden channels. I agree with the others, does not make any sense to me, neither!
I totally agree with others, In my opinion this is not good for schools as we are developing classes and we cant record those sessions

We really need this to keep our communications in a consistent place within a private channel. Please add ASAP :)
Adding my voice to this request. It's very important to protect privacy for students for 1:1 meetings, such as remote speech/language therapy. Using a Class Team is a great way for therapists to manage their caseloads, but it seems pointless until they can invite private channels to meetings. Thank you for reviewing!!!

I full support the demand! This limitation does not make any sense.

I would like to give my support to schedule teams meeting in private channels. I run IT at my office and there are so many work arounds for simple things like this going on. Work arounds make people confused and leave the less technically savvy behind.
Right now people are creating teams for every level of security they want because private channels can't do this simple function. It is the last holdout I can think of before I can push more teams to use this app.
This is an essential aspect of a private meeting. The documentation of sensitive and valuable information about our students is needed. Please restore this function.
Please, please, Private channels would of course need to meet wouldn't they? That's what make them a team. I am sure this was an oversight but it was the first thing I needed to do. I meet far more often with 10 people than 500. Let's make this happen:)
This works. My "Team" is 20 students and our Team has four Group "Rooms" with 5 students in each. When I move from the main General room into a Group Room and I - or student - make the room live by pressing "Meet Now: I get the toolbar displayed with all the same tools as in the main room. Including "Start Recording".
Hello MS DEV Team... I work for a software development company and know all too well what is like to be on the receiving end of "Why doesn't the software do everything I want... even before I know I want it..." LOL So I would simply like to add my support of the idea of scheduling meetings in private channels. I see that this is UNDER REVIEW and greatly appreciate your efforts.
I am sure the pandemic has increased the noise of all of this for you and personally appreciate all of your efforts! Please stay safe and well.
Warm regards, Kimberly
This feaure should have been implemented from the beginning. The whole point of "channels" is to streamline work, isn't it? Plus, if someone wants to start a meeting ad hoc, they have to waste time to manually invite participants. I work with groups of 15 students each. What about, say, executives, who manage companies and handle tens or more employees?

What is the status currently of this request presented? This is rather urgent and possibly a response on the status would help us plan/map a way forward.
