Reply to specific comments in chat thread
Please add an option in chat that allows you to link your reply to a specific comment so that in group conversations you can reply to a comment that may be further up the chat feed.
This is possible in the mobile chat, but I cannot yet see it in the desktop or browser version.
How is this not a feature on the desktop in 2020? Especially when people have been asking for this for at least a year. Please add replies to the desktop, it would make things SO much better by not having to jump onto a mobile device when I need to respond to a specific comment in Chat. Thank you!
For millennials, working from our cell phones typically is not a problem. I have seen less enthusiasm and even more opposition to adopt Teams verses staying with Outlook in "older" (physically or mentally old souls) folks I work with. One big concern they have is not being able to reply from a desktop as it is hard for them to keep track of the conversation. Transitioning to Teams has been challenging, though the right thing to do. Adoption of Teams from the Outlook holdouts would be helpful if a replies feature was possible on the desktop.

One of the great features of MS Teams on mobile is that you can reply to a specific message within a thread. This is great for multi-user chats, in which certain comments can get buried. Although you can “@mention” someone on the desktop version of the app, this “reply to a specific message” option does not exist. I vote for this feature to be added to the desktop version of the app

Please see this User Voice and vote and comment! -> https://microsoftteams.uservoice.com/forums/555103-public/suggestions/39353152-reply-to-specific-message-in-chat-on-desktop-app
My colleagues and I use chat extensively, particularly since the Covid19 lockdown, and find it frustrating to have to resort to the mobile app when quoting a previous post. If "Reply" is available in channel conversations and is available in the IOS and Android apps for Chat conversations, could it please be made available in the desktop app Chat too!

This is so needed now with so many of us remote working, this would remove a lot of confusion, like WhatsApp
I third this! So important in group conversations, for effective communication between multiple people
I understand features being added to one platform before the the other first. Is this excellent feature even planned for the Windows Desktop app?
I second this. Would be useful. Also inconsistent features make it more confusing
