Is it possible or available to be able to turn off the meet now option for students?
Would like to disable the meet now function in a classroom team to prevent bullying or inappropriate content. Is this possible?
Hi there, yes it is possible to turn off the meet now feature for students. Your administrator can set up policies accordingly in Microsoft Teams admin center. Learn more on the meeting policy that allows to turn on or off the meet now feature at: https://docs.microsoft.com/microsoftteams/meeting-policies-in-teams

The students are still getting the meet now button even after setting the meeting policy to Education_SecondaryStudent- in which meet now is disabled.
This has started happening after the new update in meet now from 25 July 2020 where meet now is appearing on the top right corner.
Gordon - does that setting prevent students from joining a meeting that a teacher starts?
For Teams that have students, the Meet Now/Skype feature in the Conversations tab should be auto turned off with teacher permission required for use. I have students using that in class when they should be doing other things and heard of students even using it during a test. Sometimes they do it just to bother other students.
